The hotel is in the middle of Chania on-touristy area. The beach is about a 10 minute walk and the old harbour. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the back of the hotel and the pool. The room on had 1 spare plug to use. The other 2 were for the TV and fridge, the actual socket if you were not careful came out of the wall, as we had to unplug the TV so that we could charge kindles etc. The air conditioning was not good we had it on full and @ 10 degrees, and it did not cool, so night time was uncomfortable as we went during their heatwave when it got up to 42 degrees. We also had to enquire one day when we would get the room cleaned etc. to be told that it could happen anytime up to 10pm and that if we wanted an early night to let reception know so that the housekeeping could be done in time.
The breakfast was very good a very good selection of greek foods, European, fresh fruits etc. The pool is not very big nor is the area around the pool, but the pool is clean and very refreshing. It can be noisy if as there is a main road that runs in front of the hotel. There is a bit of a parking area at the side of the hotel, but it is first come first served. There is also a fitness suite on the 4th floor. There is a spinning bike, treadmill, elliptical, normal bike, weights, multi gym, gym balls, towels are provided and also apples. The hotel also provides towels for the beach and the pool so you can save some weight in your luggage and not take a beach towel They also arrange trips. It is a good all round hotel. Despite the problems I would recommend it. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. They will also book your transport to and from the airport if you contact them in advance of your arrival, if you are not going as part of a package.
