We are just back from an Autumn break in Crete, completly chilled out and relaxed. We stayed in The Aisha room for 4 nights and changed to the Roxlane room as it had a bath for 3 nights. Both rooms were beautiful, very different to the big hotel experience. Alex attended to our every need and Andreas was more than helpful offering us The Aisha room for our last day to leave our bags and change before our late night flight home. Overall a very positive experience and we would highly recommend it. La Maison Ottomane is very central yet very quite. Chania is a lovely town and the airport is less than 30 mins by taxi. The town was quite as its the end of a long season which starts in March. The food in the resturants is amazing and so reasonable. Alex and Andreas gave some recommendations for food and they were good recommendations. We would love to return, perhaps April/Maywould be good before the heat of Summer. Many thanks to Alex and Andreas for looking after us so well. Pat & Helen

Room Tip: The Aisha had a a lovely area to sit out. The Roxland had a lovely sunken bath, and you could sit out in the courtyard.

Thank you. April & May are indeed good months for Crete - reasonably quiet and usually warm, though the sea remains cool. In any case, la Maison remains at your disposal all year round - we just tend to serve breakfast in rooms more often when it is cool or wetl. Looking forward to welcoming you back.

We live in the Chania area and I wanted to surprise my wife with a little bit of luxury, after trolling the Internet for a suitable venue l chose La Maison Otteman, every thing was excellent from our greeting on arrival by Alexandra to our departure.
The suite was excellent, with every facility we could think of, the breakfast was wonderful and plentiful and Andreas was a very good host with lots of local knowledge and helpful suggestions of where to go and what we could do, and eat. We were helped to celebrate by a gift of flowers and cake to accompany the prosseco I ordered
My wife had a very memorable birthday celebration here for all the right reasons and I would not hesitate to recommend La Maison Otterman to anyone who wants to be pampered and made welcome.

We stayed at la Maison Ottomane for 3 nights. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. For starters we were upgraded to the Constantinople Suite- downstairs lounge, TV and relaxation, upstairs bedroom and shower, what luxury. Alexandra and Andreas could not have been more helpful and generous hosts, it was as if we were staying in their own house. From amazing breakfast to guidance with local eateries to the best coffee shops, the help never stopped. In our opinion, only come to la Maison Ottomane if you want to be really pampered.

Thank you so much! We quite agree - if you wish not to be pampered you will need to go elsewhere :)

Hopefully you can stay longer next time.

Best regards

I can only repeat what most of the other reviewers have said. An excellent 3 night stay at a delightful small hotel in the heart of Chania yet with a car park which was a real bonus. Andreas & Alexandra were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We hate big hotels so this was ideal - only 3 rooms. Wonderful breakfast in the courtyard, fortunately not too cold when we visited. I'm sure we will be back on our next trip to Chania. We stayed on the ground floor in The Roxelane which we were told was the most romantic room and it was wonderfully furnished with a sunken bath. I found it rather dark but I do like my light, my husband was perfectly happy. I think if we went again we would stay in the upstairs room which has its own terrace with a view of the town and sea. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Dear Guests - So glad you enjoyed your stay. For longer stays we do recommend Aisha or Constantinople which are lighter rooms. Roxelane tends towards the mysterious and the romantic... Looking forward to your next trip.

La maison ottomane is one of those hidden gems, that you don't want to leave once you have discovered it. It is obscenely well decorated, and have of piece, and first of all, a place where you are greated with warmth, friendliness and everything you need to forget that stress ever existed.

Your description of our decoration is unusual and warmly appreciated. Thank you. Crete tends to be a place of low stress (unless you are driving) and we aim to excel in this area...
