We enjoyed very much our volcano tour, altghou it's not that spectacular and the hike was longer and more difficult than what we expected (too hot at noon in August). But you don't get to walk on a volcano everyday. The black rooks and dried lava flows are impresive and give an alien world feel. I always wanted to see dried lava flows. I found them gorgeous. It really gives you a perspective on the forces of nature. But I think this site is more impressive for geology and geography fans, not necesarely for your average tourist, who might be disappointed of the "pile of aride rooks". Other than the black volcanic rocks, the volcano itself doesn't seem much now (only 2 small gas vents and huge dried craters). But the guide we had (Max) was very good and provided lots of info, in great English. This made the experience much better and we learned lots of new things. View is beautiful from the top.
