This house has been inhabited for many many years by the same family. They probably were affluent merchants or sea captains. Thus the house has some ancient beautiful mirrors and furniture. But is also worth meeting the owner, a ninety plus lady, very well kept and dressed who is always ready to show you around her mansion.

I must have gone on a day when the owner was not in a pleasant mood. In fact from the moment she opened the door the greeting was not warm. In fact I found her rude and arrogant. Taken aback initially I still decided to enter the house putting it down to old age and an off day. Needless to say I was on tender hooks whilst I was in there.. She even yelled at me several times if I wasn't looking at the same item that she was talking about( I thought I was each time , but clearly not ) I couldn't wait to get out of there which is a shame. I paid 3 euros for entry and 8.50 euros for a book mark that she embroidered ( she asked to make a purchase) and I was out of there!

Thank Joanne F
