This is an amazing hotel. We stayed two nights in one of the rooms around the central pool. The room was beautiful, calm and relaxing. Turn down service one of the best ever.
Service is spectacular - if you need something, somehow a member of staff appears - but you never have the feeling that they’re hovering. And I was sick one night and needed some medicine - the staff member who helped us find an open chemist decided it was too complicated for us to find it alone so he took his motorbike and went for me - with no fuss - just being really nice.
We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service there were just as good as the standards in the rest of the hotel.
All 5 star hotels should aspire to this level of service and serenity.

Other reviewers have extolled this unique hotel's many fascinating features in impressive detail, so I will be more brief. It IS as beautiful and serene as described with charming, friendly staff who only add to its splendour. Parking is a bit tricky on the narrow, windy street. The lovely, small outdoor restaurant with sparkling views of the Port and town, has a limited, simple but tasty menu. The adjoining timber and glass windowed rooms are quite superb with their exquisite attention to decorative detail. The central courtyard with mosaic tiled pool, with surrounding cave-like rooms is an oasis of calm. Our massages in the Hammam were brilliant. The tour was informative, revealing the history and other amazing spaces of this special place. Highly recommended.

A historical building maintaining all the fragrance and nuances of the East , Imaret is an extraordinary place to visit, walk around in the guided tour, admire the architecture, have lunch or dinner overlooking the sea and the city of Kavala. The staff is very friendly and caring while the rooms are unique. Definitely try out their exquisite plates and the spa experience! Just a magical place!
