Second visit and love this hotel - amazing upgrade room with a view of the town - room clean and large and breakfast lots of choice. Great value and fab beaches in walking distance - will be returning!

The hotel is located very nicely not too far from Poros town (appr 20 min walk), has a beautiful territory. Beds are comfortable. Windows are large, if your room faces the see the road noise is not heard. So we could sleep with the open window which was very nice. We really liked the beach with lots of pine trees. Reception manager Marianna was excellent - very welcoming, speaks good English, a real professional and a pleasure to speak to! Restaurant hostesses Artemis and Marissa were very friendly and helpful too, thanks a lot to the hotel staff for making our stay enjoyable.
A nasty surprise was that the hotel allowed guests with a dog despite the hotel description suggests pets are not allowed. Indeed, the dog barked loudly and as we we in a neighbouring room, the day sleep was a problem.
One other issue (for us) was that smoking was allowed on the restaurant terrace during breakfast. The terrace is the best place you can have breakfast at, with a wonderful view and fresh breeze, and all of it can be spoilt in a second by just one smoker. It would be much better to have a designated smoking area outside the public terrace.

I am giving it only 4 starts because the internet service was terrible. Otherwise, the rooms we stayed in was clean and spacious and the view from the balcony (the sea and Poros town) was absolutely spectacular. Waking up to that view made one feel better already. The food was delicious and the service was good. Everyone was nice. The hotel has a private cove-like beach, free of charge. They also provide you with beach towels. We had a very relaxing stay. The hotel is situated on a cliff overlooking a gulf. From the main town, there is a 20 min. walk or a 4 euro cab drive. People on the island can rent scooters to get around. It's a very quiet place. Expect European prices for everything though, from food to drinks, etc. Again, an amazing stay. I would go back.

Room Tip: Choose a room With sea view for maximum effect.

We 3 friends stayed at the Poros Image for a week. My husband was with us for 2 days before departing on a sailing holiday. We booked a special package - superior room with sea view which spectacular bug the promised welcome treatment was not honoured even when we showed them our booking. Apart from that we loved the hotel and with a little common sense worked our way around the issues raised in other reviews - beach towels are not available on the beach - you pick then up daily at reception and return them for clean each evening, we made friends with the housekeeping team on level -1 and if you leave your towels on the floor they are changed daily. The breakfast was good and varied and as I liked to walk early they were happy for me to grab a coffee at 7.30 and return fir my full breakfast at 9.30. It was in need of a bit of decoration but the economic situation in Greece has made things difficult in recent years. Marian and Desdemonia in reception were efficient and friendly at all times and we made an effort to avoid peak time to pay our bill. It was lower priced than many lower grade tavernas - the beach was fine but we tried all the other local beaches to vary our perspectives. Would definitely recommend

I have been a frequent post-summer visitor at Poros Image a decade ago. The Hotel has the most breath-taking view of all hotels in Poros overlooking the town making you feel like watching a live oil painting (especially during dusk). This is usually the case with all ex-Xenia hotels. They were build in the best locations of Greece and usually by decorated architects. The place reflected the glamour of her past but gave a sense of being a tick short staffed. There were occasions where we felt that the - otherwise - willing stuff were "over-run" by customers. There were occasions where apart from the receptionists and porter the lobby, lounge and veranda seemed unattended. $ stars however as the place certainly has further potential to gain back its former glory with a bit of an extra attention from its management.

Room Tip: Sea-view by all means. Best views glacing at Poros
