We have recently returned from a week at the Dionyssos. This is a typical Greek-run hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff, a wide variety and cooked and cold food at breakfast and large, clean, comfortable rooms with a balcony. The bathroom is what you would expect for Greece, so no surprises there.
The pool is large with plenty of sunbeds, although they could do with some more umbrellas. There is a bar and seating area - very pleasant for a pre or after dinner drink.
Many of the guests come every year and stay for anything up to 3 weeks, so there is a laid-back friendly vibe.
The centre of Skopelos Town is a 5/10 minute downhill walk, which is slippery when wet!.
There are plenty of good restaurants around the port and in the maze of back streets leading off the harbour front.
Take your time to explore and you won't go far wrong. We enjoyed Platanas, Muses and the last restaurant at the far end of the port.More
