Whilst visiting the gorgeous Xmas arrangement at Tivoli gardens, I was in mood for some Chinese food and thankfully we noticed the gorgeous Japanese house with all it's lights as if out of some mystical Oriental story. We joined a small queue and learned that since we did not pre-book, we cannot take their buffet offer but only be seated in the house that served A la carte. The restaurant was formed of several little houses and ours was overlooking the fountain with it's mini Bellagio fountain 'works' on music by Tchaikovsky and other famous composers.

I had the gorgeous and the best duck I ever remember and my partner some equally gorgeous sushi, both washed down with some delicious local elderflower juice.

No place in the belly for desert, so we left noticing the place was still packed with queuing creatures in the cold. Mind you, they all looked gorgeous, Denmark is so lucky to have so many good looking people......... especially men, ha ha

This is a buffet type oriental restaurant in Tivoli gardens, though you can order from a menu as well. We came there around 19:45, the restaurant looked lovely at that time, lots of coloured lights outside and inside; the waiter was friendly and helpful. The buffet is partly hot foods and partly sushi. The hot food wasn't great, lots of the dishes were there for some time probably, rice was nearly gone, and it just didn't taste of anything much. But the sushi was absolutely lovely, and if i went again, i would probably just order a platter of sushi from the menu.
The waiter made us ice cream with hot chocolate sauce for dessert, which was included in the price, and overall i liked it there.

The food was fine, more or less than expected. A bit to the pricy side, but compared to other restaurants in Tivoli I guess it is just average. The staff was very attentive even though it was a friday night.

Dinner was nice. There were a lot of options. It is a bit pricey. It is quite loud, so would not recommend this place for business or intimate dinners.

The lady accepting our reservations for our sons birthday really made en effort and made sure that we got the (for us) best table with a view to the lake and in the corner. She made sure all the time that everything was fine. The buffet was fine, when filled up, but there was always missing something - cuttlery, plates, certain dishes. And it was difficult to navigate around the buffet, which was placed just at the entrance instead of in the middle of the restaurant. We also had difficulties in getting attention from the waiters around, but everyone was friendly. It tasted well and for Tivoli standard the pricing was adequate (though it is always more expensive to dine inside Tivoli).
