If you do not mind a hotel without a lift (you could end up climbing to 3rd/4th floor with a heavy luggage) and you do not mind a shared bathroom and a (tiny) toilet BUT prefer a great location and a good price then you should definitely try Hotel Windsor in Copenhagen. This is an expensive city and if you want just decent and clean (maybe a little obsolete) place to sleep for a reasonable price which includes nice tasty breakfast this hotel is a wise option. The location is great - many attractions within a walking distance, just opposite the street there is a nice local market with quality and healthy food and very close to busy Norreport metro station. IT´s only about 20 min from the airport by metro train and costs 36 DKK (less than 5 euro). TIP - if you take metro in Copenhagen take a front seat iof the first coach - it´s a great experience because there is a driverless metro system in Copenhagen :)

Room Tip: Would not recomment room 303 - it is in between the kitchen and the breakfast room - gets noisy in the morning.

This is the only issue guys (and gals )

Pros : clean , friendly folk , price ( by copenhaguen standards ), absolutely FAB location near Norreport , wifi works well

Cons - lots of stairs without a lift , bit of noise from street , shared bathroom , Late breakfast although i latterly discovered i could have taken this at the sister hotel . Hard to find following instructions of sister hotel . How safe in case of fire ¿,

Would i return ?
Yes but could be persuaded to look elsewhere

Forgive me for keeping it simple folks !

The Hotel Windsor in Copenhagen, Denmark is a typical pension. So, if you're looking for an American-style hotel/motel, the Hotel Windsor is not for you. But, if you're able to easily walk stairs and you're familiar with pensions, Hotel Windsor makes a geat choice.

A far as pensions are concerned, the Hotel Windsor exceeded our expectations. Yes: The rooms are small. The shared restrooms are even smaller still. And, the beds are worn out. But, the pension is well cared for. The property is very clean. The walls are thin, but the inside traffic is very light. And, the staff is very accommodating. Plus, we enjoyed an excellent breakfast.

The pension is just a half block from the Metro station. And, it is centrally located to many of Copenhagen's famous tourist attractions, which makes the Hotel Windsor an ideal "base of operation" for anyone visiting Copenhagen. The Workers' Museum is just around the corner. The Botanical Gardens is just one block behind the pension. There is a small marketplace across the street to get a nice meal.

Room Tip: There are no "good" rooms, per se.

Did well enough for an affordable one night stay. Staff were very friendly and lovely. Location near the metro and central Copenhagen is great. However I would not stay for more than a night. There is a sink in the room, but the (very small, single) toilet is located outside the room. Shower room is old and also located outside the room. 2 showers in the lockable shower room, but with no lock on the shower stall door, I would not be comfortable with another person in there with me. No trash basket in shower room. Mattress was stained, but there was a thick pad over it. No lift in sight, had to carry luggage up several floors.

If you are on a budget, or in need of a convenient place to stay for the night, this hotel fits the bill. I would book again because I like saving money haha.
