This is one of the most interesting museums I have been to. Amazingly entrance is free, although I would happily have paid. The Islamic art collection is extensive and extremely beautiful, with plenty of information to accompany it (unlike other museums I have visited that lack information). The information plaques take you through the history of Islam, and English speakers can borrow a tablet to read about the different objects- there is a huge amount of information, all of which you couldn't possibly read, but it's really impressive and useful to have it all to hand, to be able to pick and choose what you read about. If you are interested in history and culture, the David Collection is a must-see.
