For the past 5 years we've spent our summer holiday in Scandinavia and this year is no exception. We've been staying in Helsingor, Denmark which is a beautiful small town about half an hour by train from Copenhagen and half an hour by ferry from Helsingborg in Sweden. Bistro Francophile in Helsingor overlooks the water and is a wonderful find. The food was exquisite and the service efficient and friendly. We had the full three course dinner which for me was warm goats cheese salad, moules and frites followed by chocolate mousse. It sounds like pretty standard French fare doesn't it but in fact the cooking was exceptional and the tastes exquisite. The chef obviously knows his onions - literally as he used vanilla pickled onion in my starter and it was delicious - and the waitress was a lovely young lady who made us feel so welcome. Value for money was excellent and I can't recommend it highly enough. I hope you go and have a lovely time like we did.
