We had 16 people for 1 week studying plants (mosses) on Eigg and needed a place to house everyone, allow self-catering, lab facilities for study, wi-fi, drying facilities for wet clothes and everything else for an outdoor field trip. Eigg is a fantastic place for wildlife of all kinds, esp plants and birds. The people are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant/cafe/ pub (Galmisdale Bay) is good. The shop has limited opening hours so shopping needs to be planned. No cars are allowed on Eigg, but luggage is transported to and from the pier and hostel. We got some superb meals brought to us by Eiggy Bread. Cannot think of anything negative, and the music festival was brilliant.
