We stumbled across this place thanks to Mr Google , but we didn’t get in as we had no reservation. The loverly Philip managed to accommodate us an hour later and it was superb ! The service was great , food beautifully presented and of an amazing standard. This is a superb restaurant that specialises in a small very well refined menu that they do extremely well. This is a must if your in Stockholm! The staff were superb, some even learnt some sitting phrases..

We found this based on a convenient location and lucked out without a reservation. We started with the pea soup and shrimp salad. Both were good but the shrimp was better. I had the meatballs and my friend had the cod. After the starters it was hard to finish. We tried the cocktail special of Lingonberry and Cava. It was a bit too sweet but tasted good. No dessert on this trip! Cute and charming with good service. The seating was a bit tight.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous reviews, the service let’s this place down. The food was delicious, I had the herring three ways followed by the cod, both of which were very good. However, the service was very slow due to the place filling up with backpackers from the hostel next door wanting drinks. There were simply not enough staff to manage the bar, let alone look after diners. Having to clear our own plates after starters and have words with the chef over where our mains were dampened what would have otherwise been an excellent meal.

I only went here as I stayed in the hostel nextdoor and they did a deal where if you stayed in the hostel you could get swedish meatballs for 99 SEK. This place is small, it's difficult to get a seat and the tables are small and you are crammed in. They don't have enough staff so you wait a really long time to be seated, to be brought a menu and then to take your order. The waiter I thought ignored me and others and served larger tables and groups first. The food tasted OK, but there wasn't much of it. I wouldn't go again- I'd avoid it and go somewhere else.

We went to Nomad based on reviews, as we really wanted to find authentic Swedish meatballs. On the food side, we were not let down at all. The meatballs were great, really tasty and good portions. Prices make this place attractive too.
However, the service really let the place down for us. We had booked a table and arrived on time. We ordered cocktails, which were promptly forgotten, despite out waiter walking past us several times and paying no attention ti the fact we had no drinks. In the end, our food actually arrived first - and the waiter still didn't spot that we didn't have drinks. We finally got them, after most of our meal had been eaten.
We were served pretty quickly, possibly because the menu is quite limited and were enjoying our drinks, post dinner, when we were asked to give up our table by the waiting staff, for a group who had come in without a booking and wanted drinks. This was only about an hour and a quarter after our reservation time and so we didn't feel that this was fair - especially as the bigger group hadn't booked, and we hadn't been told they would need the table back. We asked if we could finish our drinks first although this was not communicated to the group who then approached us to ask us to move on. As we were quite prepared to have more drinks, and were therefore paying customers, this really soured the evening for us. We paid up and moved on, but wouldn't return due to the service.
