Vvvvery good sushi! Fresh and tasty! Rolls are really yummy, we tried several. Sashimi is perfect! Absolutely enjoyed the food and the place itself. Also it's a cool idea with serving soy sause the way you do (-: Thank you! If you are looking for a cozy restaurant outside the touristic crowds, don't hesitate to visit Rakultur. If you are looking for sushi, don't hesitate to peep into Rakutur. We'll definitely come back!

We visited this place after reading all the positive reviews it has... and boy were we surprised. Don’t get us wrong, it was okay, but that’s pretty much it.
Usually our experience is that TripAdvisor rating averages are quite reliable, but in the case of this place: maybe we just got unlucky.

First of all, the rations were quite small; stemming primarily from the fact that each piece of sushi/sashimi was small or thin. Even though we like convenient bite-sized solutions, this was really too small for both of us.
At the same time, they had plenty of non-standard sushi/sashimi fishes, which were interesting to taste, but we just simply didn’t like them. Probably not a questions of freshness, but one never knows.

In addition, they use a strange solution for how to apply the soy sauce to the sushi/sashimi – you are given a brush with which you can ”paint” the fish with soy sauce and then directly add as much wasabi as you prefer.
Well for us like this what happened was: the sushi/sashimi never had enough soy sauce on it. On top, the wasabi’s taste was really weak, compared to the ones we are used to.

We can see that some people probably appreciate this - because you can taste the fish more stronger -, but even if you use a separate dish to store soy sauce/wasabi, you can choose how much of it you want to use; so we didn’t really see the point of Rakultur’s method.

Apart from this: it is a nice, more modern-style place; but that’s pretty much it.

This restaurant is one of 3 in the building who are run by the same people. I have visited the other two and really liked them, so was excited to go to the third one.
However I was really disapointed by it and this is why:
4 people running the front of house and serving customers. Way too understaffed. Front of house was hectic and not welcoming, 10min until our waiter came to the table after we sat down, food was slow, main course arrived almost 50min after we sat down.
Another let down was the atmosphere. The restaurant is divided in spaces that sits 4 people. However if you are 2 people they put you in the same 'booth space' with another 2 strangers next to you. There is literally no privacy as the next person is 5cm away from you! Way, way too close!
In the topic of atmosphere, the music throughout the night was 60 disco music blasting from the speakers which created a very strange atmosphere.
Positives - the food was delicious and there were many new and innovative sushi combinations. Definitely worth it.
Prices are high and considering the restaurant is upscale, it seems that the comfort of the customer and the ambience of the restaurant have not been considered, so really what you are paying for is the food.
My advice is avoid this restaurant, or stick to a take away from it (which they do) and visit one of their other restaurants in the building.

Heard a lot off great thing about this place before we decided to go there. There were two other couples that where already there and we asked if we could seat a couple off seat away from them do get some privacy, the waitress said “no it would be to fare to walk”. Bad start. The tables are really small and you feel really claustrophobic. The sushi was okay, the services was not what we expected. This is a hipster ultra-deluxe place where they explain to you how you should eat, sit, behave and where soya is served in a shot glass with a paint brush so that you could brush our fish and if you ask for a bowl they think you are “un trendy”.
Because we have heard a lot off great things about this place we are assuming that it was just one off those days when everything goes wrong.
