This is a historic hotel in a gorgeous setting, on beautiful grounds on a lake. Its right in the city but innan island of calm. Restaurant is great but pricey. Overall we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

The Hotel is very nice in a grate location near the water.
About 10 min walking from the Metro.
My Room was a gallery room i.e. there were steep stairs to get to the bedroom. I didn't mind but it could be problematic to some peoples.
The room was very good and clean and I had a lovely time in it.
There is a restaurant in the Hotel But I didn't have the chance to eat there.
The breakfast was good.
The Hotel is quit expensive,.

Check in was very good and quick, and as a hotel guest I park my car outside without charge.
Room was quite small I have to say, but decorated very nicely. Bathroom had a bathtub in it, and that is not so common these days as most new hotels only have shower.
One thing I find annoying is the use of glass door into the bathroom, even if it's frosted. Like I have written in other reviews, when I'm in the bathroom on the toilet, or my girlfriend is, I don't want be conscious about the fact that you can see in through the glass, even if it's frosted.

Breakfast was good, good selection.

Dear Mike

First of all, thank you for taking your time to leave us a review of your stay, we really appreciate your inputs, both the pro's and con's.

We are happy to hear that you were satisfied with the bathtubs, and the decorations of the room.
Our rooms seizes are not big and boastful, but rather more, petite and with as mentioned nicely put decorations, something that we believe give them a bit more historical approach and feeling to them.

We look forward to seeing you here another time, to enjoy our nicely selected breakfast once again!

Best Regards from a sunny Stockholm

I feel so blessed to have stumbled upon this hotel while trying to find accommodations in Stockholm for a family of four. We came to visit friends that live here, and it being our first time traveling together, hoping to find a relaxing and spacious place for us to spend 9 days. Well, i couldn't have made a more brilliant choice! The hotel is very enchanting and charming, beautiful grounds and location to relax and get around Stockholm - minutes from everything ! But, the best part of our stay here is/was the Staff !!! and the food is spectacular ! They made our trip so fun and effortless ... we really had such a wonderful time and plan on making this a yearly visit at least... Tack sa mycket Stallmastaregarden Hotel!!! we are so grateful and so appreciative of all that you did for us !!!

Stallmästaregården is an old restaurant and hotel which has been on this site for more than 300 years. Its localisation at Brunnsviken and opposite the Royal Castel of Haga gives it a romantic gleam. The poet Carl Michael Bellman wrote beloved songs about the surroundings in the late 18th century and the king Gustav III built Haga Slott at the same time.
To get there by car could be a bit tricky depending from where you come. Google Maps is a must. To get there by taxi is easier as the taxi drivers know how to get there the easiest way
The hotel is very good, the service is excellent. The restaurant has a very good reputation for decades. The dinner we were served was very nice. Breakfast on the terrace an early summer morning with the view facing Brunnsviken is a must. The breakfast was very good with a good variation of dishes.
The rooms are quite small but sufficent. The only negative to say is that those guests who get a room facing west, to the motorway, will be at risk to be disturbed at night. That was the negative experience we had. Another minor thing was that the duvets they used were probably aimed for winter climate. The nights that have been in June this year, have been warm, and so were the beds...Apart from thar there are no negative thing to write about.

Room tip: The rooms that are not facing the motorway are recommended-
