We stayed at the Rica Hotel Stockholm for two nights near the beginning of June.
We found the front desk staff to be nothing short of helpful and courteous. We arrived in the morning and was fortunate to check-in and get our room before 12:00pm.
The room itself was small, but efficient in layout. Our intent was to explore and tour the city, so spending a lot of time in our room wasn't a factor. The beds were soft and comfortable. Our window faced the popular pedestrian boulevard, Dottinggatan, and was full of people everyday. The windows, when closed, did not let much noise in the room.
The location, for us, was perfect. It was next to a busy and popular square; the bustling Dottinggatan, walking distance to Gamla Stan; walking distance to the Central Railway Station and many more attractions of Stockholm's cultural significance.
There is a sauna for which you must reserve and we found it to be great to use after a long day.
Buffet breakfast was included in our stay. The selection was as you expect from a Scandinavian hotel (scrambled eggs, bacon, assorted meats, vegetables, breads). Unlike other hotels, the staff provided bags and takeaway cups of buffet items, should you want to take some items with you.
Overall, this was a clean, centrally-located hotel.More
