This cafe is a treasure that offers a wonderful menu of fresh food, made to order. It's a small place that's tucked slightly away from the busier hustle of tourist shops/restaurants. I ordered a chicken pita sandwich and my dining partner ordered a falafel in pita. We shared an order of fries and had an abundance of toppings to pick from that the chef happily added to our sandwiches. She had a bottle of soda and I drank a bottle of water. There are a handful of bar stools and a counter top on which to eat your meal. There are some interesting magazines to browse through to pass the time during the preparation of your food. We were too stuffed to order more but I think I saw desserts on the menu. If you're looking for a modestly priced meal of fresh food, I highly recommend this cafe.

Stockholm is known for its cafe culture. Not so great for the introverted solo traveler. This is one of a few places in Gamla Stan that isn't a cafe (although there is outdoor seating available). And as a lover of kebaps in any city, it was pretty tasty!

Was looking for a quick and cheap lunch so after looking at the menu decided to go for the lamb diner wrap meal. This consisted of large wrap, an even larger portion of chips and a drink.

The taste was decent and the meat was not greasy. However because of the the size I could not finish.

Great value meal.

This small but charmy Kebab & Falafel eatery has some well kept secrets. I will reveal some of them here...

This restaurant was founded in 1983 by the owner who brought falafel and kebabs to Sweden. The restaurant was his second startup after a successful launch of St:Eriks Kebab two years earlier. Back then no one had ever heard of falafels, in fact many people (especially swedes) took them for meatballs until they were surprised by their explosion of taste and deliciousness.

As for the kebabs and shawerma rolls, they were prepared by hand using top quality ingredients and a mix of lamb and beef. Lamb meat was actually the primary ingredient, but beef was added to milden the taste that were not so popular back then. Today it would have been considered a delicacy to be found only the very luxurious restaurants.

The Three Sauces
Tahina, Yoghurt (Tzatziki), and the Hot sauce. All three shared of common secret ingredient: Garlic!
Although the tahina and hot sauce were not supposed to taste garlic, they still had a pinch of dried garlic added to them among other secrets. The very selective person would just ask for one or two of the sauces, but I would always prefer all three in various combinations plus a spoon of their freshly made hommous.

The Fresh Onions
As the original recipes of shawerma requires, the onions are spiced up with Sumac and chopped parsley. This is to milden the tangy taste of fresh onions, and the sumac adds a very special sourness not found in other spices.

The Price
Until this day, this place has still kept their prices to a level that everyone should afford. The homie as well as the hungry tourist looking for a great value meal.

Went there with a friend and thought of having something cheap as Gamla Stan is quite an expensive area and touristy area. We enjoyed the food and the service there.
