We came here on a Sunday evening and the restaurant itself is very small but beautifully decoredated very quaint and rustic, it is super small though (my boyfriend didn't actually fit down the stairs to use the toilet). Would recommend booking in advance, we arrived at 8.30pm and were the last people to be let in. Every person that walked through the door after us was told that there was no room for them (there were clearly tables!) or the kitchen was closing shortly, we distinctly got the impression the waitress wanted to leave as soon as possible, and for such a small place it was quite awkward.
The service was good at first (once the waitress got round to you) the menu was explained, water provided and order taken. The food was also delicious! I would certainly recommend the moose lasagne and the homemade sausage.
My main reason for only giving this 3 stars is the service, we finished eating and the table was cleared, we were then ignored. No dessert offered, no further drinks, no bill etc. We really wanted a dessert and maybe some coffees but the waitress was quite clear that she wanted to leave for the evening, to be clear it was 9.30pm with the restaurant closing at 11), she started clearing the table of a couple who had literally put down their cutlery, it was so awkward, in the end we asked for the bill and left to have dessert elsewhere. Quite a disappointing end for such a lovely start.
