I’m torn between a grade of 3 or 4, I guess 3 because of the price. So if I could I would have rated it 3,5.

The food is really good, service really good and nice location and venue. If you’re into wines they have an expensive wine list :)

We were seated at the bar with a great view of the kitchen which we always enjoy & looking around we could see that every seat in the house was taken & the atmosphere had the buzz you would expect from popular restaurants but haven’t experienced as much since COVID struck. The decor is a bit edgy with chairs hanging from the walls and cosy lighting that gives a sense of privacy befitting our date night. The service throughout was very slow, which we didn't mind so much as we were not in a rush but definitely can't score highly on that measure. Callum doesn't eat meat which did not leave much choice... There are limited options for pescatarians & very little for vegetarians: only 4 of the 8 main dishes didn’t have meat & to make matters worse they had run out of 1 of the 3 starters we could order. Looking at the positives, with a truncated list of options we were expecting the quality would be high. Overall, the non-meat starters & desserts were good – the oysters were a delicious way to start the meal whilst the langoustine & brussels sprout dishes were full of fresh & interesting flavours. The freshly baked madeleine cakes with sweet wine to finish is a guaranteed way to Lauren’s heart & the chocolate pudding with cream & cookie crumble didn’t look like much but it was delicious. However, the main dishes & the pork starter (which Lauren had for main) were a bit disappointing – whilst the cod was cooked well enough, the sauce lacked flavour which left the dish very bland. The pork meanwhile just felt a bit lazy, overpowered by the huge amount of frois gras and a pile of plain rocket. In terms of value for money, it's expensive and the food just didn't justify that. If you're looking to have a few drinks and a light (meaty) dinner or lunch then Rolfs Kök is an okay option but we aren't rushing back.

Nice restaurant off busy Drottningata, doesn’t really look like a tasty dining place but they have a creative Swedish menu and take on traditional Scandinavian dishes. Recommended by Michelin and few local guides the place is cosy ( ask for a window seat if you can) for ultimate experience. Good service and average prices.

We went to Rolfs for dinner. As starter venison tartar with roe, what a great taste. As main we had cheeks of ox, so tender and delicious. Really love swedish food.
