I stayed here 2 nights and am not sure if I would stay again. The room was very clean and new, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a wide selection of items to choose from. I really liked the location, as it was easy to find and close enough to everything to easily walk. I had a car with me, and found parking in the main central garage across the street was quite easy (get a pass from the front desk at check in).

The downsides are that the room was just tiny and a strange design. The closet was about 4 inches deep—enough to hang a shirt and pants but that’s it. There was absolutely no space in the room to put my suitcase, so it was in the middle of the little bit of floor space there was, waiting for me to step over. No luggage rack to set it on, probably because there was no space for one. The “desk” was a flip down wall unit – which was also in the way covering the only bit of floor space. Basically, you could sit on the bed but don’t expect to have another other space to move around. I like to do some stretches in the morning; I couldn’t do them without hitting my hands and arms on things.

Really, the oddest and most frustrating part of the design was the bathroom. First, it is not separate from the rest of the room, so if there’s more than 1 person you will have zero privacy. Second, there is just a sliding glass door that either slides in front of the shower or the toilet. Again, no privacy if sharing a room. Third, the sliding door didn’t come close to meeting the floor and/or the tile floor wasn’t sloped properly, so taking a shower meant your toilet area and the entire bathroom area was soaking wet.

Given these limitations, I think I will look at other Uppsala options and do a much more careful comparison.

We stayed at this hotel for two days in August 2012. The hotel is very near to to station. A supermarket (coop) is nearby. Reception was friendly, she told us all about the hotel (but not, that the rooms at th 7 th floor are different to those at the other floors). We got a room in the 7 th floor. At this floor there's the gym and sauna. The sauna is separated for male and females, the restroom is mixed. In all rooms you can't open the window. The rooms at the 7 th floor have a sliding door covering either the toilette or the shower. The shower and the toilette are not constructionally separated from the rest of the room. So be aware that you can't use the toilette if your partner is showering or vice versa and that you get some kind of special micro clima ;-) Breakfast was okay but there are better breakfasts at other Radissons in Sweden.

Room Tip: choose a room in floors 1-6

This is a brand new hotel in Uppsala, so it is very clean and fresh with exceptionally unique modern decor. I absolutely loved the restaurant's furniture and design elements, such as their whimsical chairs and lamps, and since I'm a design freak, I was very happy with the ambience of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was included in our rate and it was large and had both Scandinavian and British dishes. I also tried the hotel's lunch and dinner, and the food is both delicious and well-presented. Definitely try the hamburger picnic basket! The service was also friendly and they tried to accommodate my young daughter with crayons and a coloring book.

We used our points to get a room, so we only saw the standard sized room, which was pretty tiny. This was our only complaint, as there was not a desk for you to use in this room. If I were to come back, I would definitely upgrade to a bigger size, but since we were only there one night, it was fine. Also, the bathroom is not fully enclosed, and the shower and toilet only have sliding doors to close you off to the room, which is not very private. I give them credit for utilizing all the space in that small room, but may not be appropriate for a couple with small child. However, the Internet was free and fast.

The location is GREAT especially if you need to get to the airport the next day, as the hotel is right behind the train station. Even with this location, the room was sound-proofed and quiet. We decided to stay in Uppsala rather than at the airport terminal or near Stockholm T-Centralen, that was a good move! Since Uppsala is about 30 minutes north of the airport by train, it's convenient. Uppsala is less hectic and busy and so you can relax a bit more. Across the street, there is a really nice cafe and design store that sells a lot of Swedish handicrafts, ceramics, design and art (called Stickparet). and many restaurants are found in the train station area as well, but the Picnic restaurant in the hotel is great too! Stora Torget (the main square) is about a 7 min. walk away and there are tons of shops in that area. Also, there is a newly built Coop Konsum grocery store just across the street where you can buy food and snacks. Uppsala is a nice town that's a bit less stressful than Stockholm, so stay here if you get the chance!

Room Tip: Upgrade your room, as the standard room is tiny and only meant for basically a solo traveler who lik...

Great location, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the lounge for cocktails. The rooms are examples of how to make good use of a tiny space. Next time, we will spluge on a junior suite and will ask for a patio.

Nice new hotel. Right at the central station of uppsala. Nice design stuff in the lobby and nice interior of rooms. We got a good rate but might have been an introductory rate because it had just opened. One minus: rooms do not have windows that can be opened except for those on the top floor ( but those rooms are smaller).
