Service is on the slow side. The menu is typical of the area. My chicken filet was ok and my wife said her trout was very nice. Sitting outside at the back with just the sounds of the river is nice. Prices are very reasonable. Would visit again but not in a hurry.

The three metal tables outside do not tell you that there is a very large resaturant inside and a terrace with the sound of the river, outside at the rear. We have been to Benamahoma many times but today, for the first time, ate on the terrace at this restaurant which also has a car park hidden from view!.

The service is friendly and the menu, while not being extensive, covers most of what you would expect in Sierra de Cadiz and at prices which are recognisable and standard.

We took visitors from UK and had a variety of starters and main courses all of which were nicely cooked. Lamb chops were good and the chicken, bacon and cheese was also very tasty.

What else to say. If you are in Benamahoma give it a try.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch - a salad, some salami and a fried chicken dish. All very tasty. Server (owner?) was very friendly. When coming into town, you'll find plenty of parking just off the roundabout that you go through immediately before encountering this restaurant.

We came across this wonderful restaurant by chance. My husband Glenn had a delicious slow cooked Wild Boar Stew. It was flavoured with herbs from the mountains nearby. The meat melted in your mouth. I had a Spanish stew which was more like a vegetable soup with delicious flavours. We ate outside in the open air looking over the mountains. Pedro was a wonderfulhost.

Stopped at this little restaurant in a beautiful mountain village and had a simple but delicious lunch on a lovely sunny day. We had a wonderful reveulto con tagarninas (wild Spanish oyster thistle from the nearby mountains) with lots of smoked pimiento. Also a plate of cheese, homemade french fries and a simple salad. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Homemade desserts were great too. Cost for 2 including 2 glasses of wine and coffee was 26 euros. Would definitely stop here again.
