High quality food in a town with a lot of choice! The cod was delicious and not bad prices in a country that can be eye-wateringly expensive . Great service too.

Me and my husband went here for dinner and tried the three course menu. I am raised on fish and was not really up for the cod but decided to give it a try. I was up for a big surprise.. Everything on the menu was flawless and perfect. Our waiter for the meal, Júlía, made the whole surrounding very special. We felt wery welcome and Júlía made us feel like one of the family.
I highly recommend this family run restaurant for all who like local surroundings.
Thanks Júlía for a great evening.

We had the panfried ling with kale, grilled tomatoes, potatoes and sauce Bearnaise. The fish was fried on point and the composition of the sides harmonized perfectly. As a dessert we've had the brownie, which was one of the best brownies I've had in a long time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy, the staff was very service-minded and welcoming. We can only recommend this place!

Came off our Whale Watching tour hungry and, having previously checked out the menu board outside, decided to pop into Salt. The waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. We had the panfired cod and the lamb fillet/slow roast lamb shank. Both were really delicious, we had chocolate brownies and vanilla cake for dessert - both were amazing! Would highly recommend this restaurant. We were in Reykjavik for a week and this was the best meal of the week by far.
