This is an excellent property! Had the opportunity to spend a couple of nights here while traveling the Icelandic countryside. The front desk staff was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Thanks

Although near a busy dual carriageway only 20 minutes walk from central Reykavik, this hotel was a welcoming oasis. With friendly, efficient staff, comfortable well-equipped bedrooms and a wide range of food available it proved an excellent choice for a 3-night stay.

Room Tip: Fastest elevators ever: our room over-looked the Atrium, which was OK.

First time in Iceland for us! Our stay here was great and the customer service was exceptional. The huge selection at the breakfast buffet was a perfect additional to our stay especially if you’re getting up early to catch tours and start a long day of exploring. Something for everyone (diabetic options too). Don’t miss out on Happy Hour in the afternoons after a long day because food and drinks can be pricey around town. The bartender Erik was very friendly and fun to talk to not to mention he makes great cocktails! We ordered from the bar a couple of nights and the food was excellent. The Grand burger and lamb kabob entree were really good. Staff at the concierge desk was not always available during our stay but later found out the hotel was in process of hiring someone. One staff member printed coordinates for some of the places we wanted to drive which is super helpful in the rural areas. The city is within walking distance (approx 20 min walk) from the hotel and if you’re renting a car it’s great to know the hotel does not charge parking fees. You can also arrange your car rental at the front desk. The walk along the waterfront was our favorite scenic route near the hotel. The heated towel rack and floors in the bathroom were such an added bonus! They came in quite handy to dry our swimsuits (from Blue Lagoon visit) before flying home the next day. We had a late flight so the hotel held our luggage prior to our shuttle back to airport. Note: It is approx 45 mins - 1 hr drive from hotel to airport. Plan on getting there early! The boarding process for Non-European residents was lengthy and the lines to boarding gate was extremely long! Enjoyed our stay at Grand Reykjavík and would definitely return! ✨

Although a little distance from the City centre, however, this Hotel is great, clean, comfortable. The room is cosy with good facilities. Morning breakfast is great, varieties of food and drinks available, and excellence service provided by the staff.

We chose the Junior Suite and we're glad we did. It had a beautiful view the the harbor and city. The Suite was roomy with bedroom and balcony, desk area and large bathroom. The bed, bedding and pillows were extremely comfortable. The toiletries were high-end and the bathroom floor was heated. There were also two closets. The room gave you a stress-free aura the minute you walked into it. The hotel was large and had a lot of guests coming and going. You never heard any of this noise in the room - it was very quiet. It's a full-service hotel that can book tours, give direction, pickup spot for tour groups, bar and dining rooms and full buffet breakfast. They also had a full spa with sauna and massage treatments. The hotel is located about a 5-minute drive to City Center so it's in a quiet neighborhood. We specially chose this hotel for these reasons - we wanted to be away from the city noise. It's also about a 20-25 minute drive from the airport. We had a rental car and there's plenty of parking. I highly recommend this hotel. The service is outstanding.
