The front desk is on their game. Jesus was extremely proactive in finding an important letter that arrived from the states (no, it was not weed), that for a few harrowing minutes was location unknown. Claudia heated up my leftover Thai food in, even offering to transfer the food from styrofoam to a plastic container (surprised you use styrofoam, Iceland), to the perfect temperature. Is it a magic microwave? Did she stir the noodles midway? My microwave at home doesn't heat food that evenly without effort. The morning staff contacted Gray Line airport shuttle to inform them of the customer they may or may not have forgotten about, waiting patiently in the lobby, without me even asking.
The room desk had its own built in universal adapter and was quiet despite my window facing the street.
The breakfast buffet was great. Unlimited bacon. That's all I really need.
Ok, so why not 5 stars? I was denied a table at the hotel restaurant on a Friday at 2030. They close at 2200. The house was certainly not full. Someone behind the bar, who I assumed was the chef, implied that the kitchen would not be able to accommodate a hungry guest. Did they not accept anymore customers for the rest of the evening? On Laugavegur, in the capital? I didn't stick around to find out. Slightly off-putting, considering I was standing in front of the sign that read "Please wait to be seated."
