Quaintly old fashioned with impeccable service, this restaurant deserves its reputation. Excellent Icelandic food, well-presented and good wines to match. Our only disappointment was the rather tasteless sauce with the salmon, but we enjoyed great fish soup, smoked puffin and fish hash.

Nice, quiet local restaurant. The food was pretty good, and seemed relatively traditional. Prices were reasonable.

We loved this place. Excellent Icelandic food, romantic setting, great service. Make sure you get a reservation we had to wait about an hour because restaurant was full at 7 pm. Went for a walk and tour of the nearby area, beautiful part of Reykjavik. Nice night out for a walk when we went back and were seated, did notice they turned people ( walk ins like us away because they were full for the night). I had cod and my wife had lamb both were very good nice presentation.

Hard to believe this restaurant was rated 46, something is wrong with this. Most places reviewed on TripAdvisor are spot on ....but here they are way off the mark. This is the #1 or 2 restaurant in Reykjavik

The meal was excellent, especially the salted cod, which in my opinion is one of the best fish i have had in a long time, not too salty and perfectly cooked. Service went well and was attentive and prices normal. The place was full of locals and nice atmosphere.
