I know we were tired after a great long day but this is a pretty basic museum - I am interested in birds but the stuffed ones was a bit sad and some were there having only visited the island once - basic

Really bad experience, the rude bald guy at the ticket office was so confrontational to all visitors that we decided not to enter.

Thank espies

The Museum of Natural History is of the traditional type. I understand that this is not to everyone's taste but it most certainly is to mine. It is not an easy building to manoeuvre, laid out as it is on a number of floors with twisting staircase connecting them. Each floor has a number of small rooms to explore and some really fascinating specimens to view. And that is what you will be doing. Viewing specimens in glass cases. If that isn't your thing then don't go here because it will not suit you. I love this kind of thing. It throws me back to a different age. One where the fascination with all things living was keen and the chance to see actual creatures up close and personal was exciting to the senses and the imagination. I know that the current trend is for more interactive experience and I understand the attraction of that but for me the chance to see a Bittern, albeit stuffed, up close is worth more. I enjoyed my time here and recommend it to like minded people.

Very interesting to look around and a lot of information about the natural history of Malta. The museum didn't seem to have much access for the disabled as there are a lot of stairs. Feel that it could be updated a little as the rooms still feel a bit like an old hospital which is what the building originally was.

This place feels old and tired, not at all interesting. It has no ac, so avoid visiting on a hot day (if you really must visit). Took us 15 min to go through everything, not worth the money you pay!
