Boutique hotel very well located in the middle of the historic streets of Valletta, close to nice bars and restaurants. I believe it has recently been renovated. The building is very small and cozy. Great modern decoration and furniture, great shower! very clean!
Their kitchen facility was closed so we didn't get to try their breakfast, but there were so many options just across the street we thought it was even better.
Our room was small and there is not much space to hang around, no lobby or resting area, so it is ideal if you are looking just for a nice and charming place to rest after exploring the city during the day.

Stayed here 6 nights in April 2018.

The hotel is new and located in a very nice renovated old building in Merchant Street in Valletta. It is close to everything in Valletta and thus good for business and leisure.

It is a boutique-style hotel and currently, no meal facilities are available.
Receipt was very pleasant and professional and I must say that all staff working in the hotel was nice and very helpful.

Our room was well decorated and designed, although rather cramped for 2 persons. As we had a room on the patio, we did not have a window in our room. That is a strange feeling. Nevertheless, not a big issue for us. The bathroom was spacious on the other hand, with a strong shower.

Would definetely like to come back, but would then rather like to stay in a room with a window (rooms facing the street)

We stayed for 5 nights over the Easter weekend. The room was lovely and well equipped, the only thing that was missing was a hair dryer but it was supplied when we asked for one. The staff were incredibly nice and extremely helpful, they called around and helped secure a car for us to use for the last couple of days.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Valletta but you’d never know as it was so quiet once inside (even with the festival procession going past in the street). We went when the hotel hadn’t been open long so they wasn’t able to offer any breakfast or bar service it was evident that this is something that will be available in due course.

I highly recommend a holiday to Malta and to stay at the Merchant Suites.

Thank you for everything, you went above and beyond and really made us feel welcome.

Perfectly reasonable apartment - apart from noise. The smaller of the 2 bedrooms - towards the back - has the benefit of a neighbour who likes to play his radio, loudly, very early morning. In addition he has a canary which commences loud cheeping at 5.45 am and continues until dusk. The front bedroom benefits from loud noise from a pub/disco down the road which carries on until around 2 in the morning. The current building works across the way commence around 6 am.

So, all in all, a noisy affair. A shame, because the apartment is very central, clean and well-equipped. But I doubt if we'll return. We'd need a very substantial pair of ear plugs.
