“Very comfortable and spacious apartment”

The holiday got off to a good start with Joseph meeting us at the airport as arranged, taking us to the flat and showing us around. The apartment was surprisingly spacious, much bigger than the photos suggest. There is a good sized bedroom with a very comfortable King sized bed, we both slept well despite the heat and the mossies. The living room has a very large and comfortable sofa, ideal for a quick afternoon nap in front of the television. The television appears to be new but only two channels are available , the rest are subscription channels. There is a DVD player which we used, a cassette player which we didn’t and Wi-Fi which is fast, and I used a lot. James doesn’t mention the Wi-Fi on his website or the iron, ironing board and hair dryer but they are there. I don’t hink there is enough space on the website to mention everything that is in the apartment. The kitchen is modern, with a fridge, freezer, microwave and gas cooker. You are well supplied with crockery, pots, pans and cooking utensils. To be honest if you popped round the corner to the local shop to get some groceries you could live there without buying anything else. It genuinely feels like a home rather than a holiday let. The location is good apart from the Valletta problem of hills, where ever you go there is a hill to climb. Anyone under seventy shouldn’t have a problem but we did struggle a bit. There is a bit of noise but you are in a residential area. There are children playing and people do talk rather loudly but nothing that will cause any problems unless you are very sensitive. There is a bar across the road which does get a bit noisy but that goes quiet at 11.00pm, well everything goes quiet about then, the locals do have to get up for work in the morning. James supplied us with phone numbers for emergencies which we only used to organise a bed linen change and to get Joseph to take us back to the airport. Everybody was unfailing helpful. I must say James seems to have everything organised to the last detail, much better than some places I’ve stayed in. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment; it is one of the best we have stayed in.

“Brilliant Location and Spacious Apartment”

Hi Rented for 3 nights. Very large traditional apartment, very well equipped. 2nd floor of building in residential area 5 mins from all facilities and max 10 mins from bus station. Very clean and really has everything you could need. Pick up from airport arranged by owner which took us direct to apartment and given keys,. Owner kindly also let us check out later in day. Perfect location for short break in city.
Be warned if you arrive on a Sunday nothing open to buy produce so come prepared. Best restaurants both local, do go to Nenu, amazing meal. Also if you go in winter take something warm for apartment is cold at night and marble flooring.

“Enjoy living in a historic town apartment”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This is your chance to live in a beautiful historic building. Yes, there are no lifts, but you understand why. You are in the living streets of an old Mediterranean City. We had two Maltese balconies, with two sun aspects to enjoy. And oh, the tiles 3 - different patterns - and knowing these tiles are in the Casa Rocca, and the Palazzo too. It is such a pleasure to eat in the dining room, with that whole suite of furniture, and delightful ornaments. We relaxed in the lounge in the evenings with Euronews and Malta tv. The apartment provided everything we needed, also, great brochures to guide us along.
Most important, the area is very quite at night, i.e. no bars, clubs, or mad music, but you may hear individuals calling to each other, so what, it won't last all night.
FOOD SHOPS : Everything in Valletta City. The cheese and cold meats are in a counter BEHIND the assistant - only discovered this on last days.
Remember, they do not open after 2. 00pm. so buy everything in the morning.

COFFEE SHOPS open between 2 - 4 pm , Marks and Spencer's, and the coolest shady spot - Cafe Theatre, opposite Theatre Manoel.
Restaurant NENU - best in town, our neighbour, and you may take home the extra food.

TICKETS You can get a Combi ticket for all the great sites. Buy one on your first day. Churches are a visual treat. Leave the Palace until Saturday - it is open on Saturday. Bus Ticket is €1.50 for the whole day, everywhere.

DONT MISS, The Tarxien Temples, The Lascaris War Rooms, Casa Rocca, St. Paul's Shipwreck, and Palace of the Grand Masters, museum of Archaeology, and St. Elmo's.

We took the taxi from the airport, and met Joe, which was excellent. We never met James, so I wish to Thank You, James, for taking such care of this property, and allowing us the privilege of staying so close to all the historic sites.

“Classic Valletta feel to this spacious one bed apartment”

All round excellent apartment from which to explore the city. Could easily have stayed longer. The view of the harbour entrance from the rooftop is worth pondering over a glass of wine. All necessary kitchen equipment provided in apartment the and plenty of space to operate in. The balconies and sound of the all street add to the atmosphere. James made it easy to organise and the taxi from the airport was very helpful. Gets my thumbs up!
