Very nice hotel. Just around the corner of Gare central. The room is big, clean. The staff is extremely helpful. They all speak italian. The area is not so safe, but you have your own key for entering through the main entrance. Beautiful restaurant.

Given Luxembourg prices (even compared to AirBnB) this hotel is great value for money. It's close to the train station, clean, Internet works well, bed is comfy, quiet and safe (I came on a Wednesday). The only thing that could be somewhat better in terms of choice and quality would be the breakfast but it is ok as it is - basic ham and cheese, cereal, boiled eggs and not so fresh croissants with juice and tea or coffee.

All in all, would stay here again.

This hotel is a family owned one where the rooms are on top of their restaurant. The rooms are basic but were clean and contain everything you need for a short/business trip to Luxembourg. The receptionist didn't know how to speak in English but some workers do so still managed to get any information required. Breakfast is included and was good enough also.

The location is very good since it is just a couple of minutes by walk from the main train station - Gare de Luxembourg. One can find also supermarkets and food outlets close by. Definitely recommend it for a short visit. It's also around 15-20 mins walk to the city centre.

One minor issue is that there is no lift, so it's not accessible for an elderly couple.

1 minute walk from the main train station.
The hotel is on a very dubious street.
When I arrived the receptionist had gone missing so the waiter from the connecting restaurant opened up for me.
The waiter insisted on keeping my passport in an unlocked draw.
The room was very basic and the bed was more like a mattress on stilts....but it was comfortable.
When I was checking out the receptionist was again not there but my passport was within reach for anyone wanting to take it.
The hotel was very clean.

The Gare area is like London's Soho but without the noise. Bars, restaurants and "clubs" abound. The Hotel is surprisingly quiet, even if next door to a girlie club. Rooms clean and straightforward; TV doesn't have much to entertain anyone who only speaks English, but the the Wifi is probably the best I've found in any hotel I have stayed in.
I ate in the Trattoria owned by the Auberge - again, good food
