I can only speak and voice my opinion about the swimming area as we only planned to visit here for the day!
We were here not even 10 minutes!
The swimming pool area is tiled. So when the tiles are wet your children or anyone would fall over- and possibly really hurt themselves!
It was even slippery with shoes on!
There was no chance of us unpacking our bags as there would have been a hospital visit! My children are 3 and 1- they wouldn't have lasted 1 minute without falling over.
Absolutely ridiculous tiling a swimming pool area!!

Room: Although we've booked a bungalow we were sent to a room upstairs at the back of the hotel. After strong protest we were moved to a bungalow next day. Size of room okay. Bathroom much too small. Aircondition disturbing during sleep.
Service: The hotel manager was not interested in any complaints, for example shoes were 'removed' by the cleaning woman and not returned to us immediately. No room service for 2 days. The manager didn't even apologize for such shortcomings.
Meals: Breakfast monotonous: every day the same few items. Lunch was okay, but for dinner the remnants of lunch were served. Desserts consisted mainly of melons; sometimes cakes.
Beach: great view, quiet, not crowded, good for windsurfing

It's a pity that such a good place/hotel is so poorly managed! But what counts most is the significant unfriendliness of the manager!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were great with a lot of space and comfort. The people and workers there were very friendly. The two pools were lots of fun-The adults enjoyed the large pool while the kids had a great time with the slides at the smaller pool. The beach was clear with fish that swam up to our feet. The shells were beautiful on the white sand.We had such a great time that we cannot wait to visit again. Do not hesitate to book your vacation at Crystal Rocks in Famagusta. The manager was very accommodating to our every request. His staff as well himself made us feel welcome and at home. You will be very pleased with your stay at this family-friendly resort.

Room Tip: All rooms were at great locations. The rooms were near the restaurant, pool and beach. The resort is a home away from home!!

Negatives:

I have a two year old and a one year old. We booked two bungalows for 9 nights. The bungalows all had marble floors so if there was a tiny splash of water on the floor your kids including you would almost certainly slip and fall. At first the Hotel Management thought it would be a good suggestions to place me and my famliy in a bungalow which is about 5 meters from a very deep pool. Great for adults, not so great for toddlers who like running off and experimenting with new things. The Bungalow they offered also had a huge marble stair case where a bed was situated on the top. This was very unsafe for two baby's as the railing had a big gap at the bottom. Big enough for our youngest to crawl under. Furthermore the Bungalow had a Breakfast bar. At each end which was facing the walking path from Living area to Kitchen there were very very sharp corners of metal or steel parts that were sawn off. A slight graze could puncture skin. That Breakfast bar was the exact hight of my oldest son head. We quickly asked to swap Bungalow. The Bungalows had a fridge which at first wasnt working and had to be fixed the next day. There was a sink which had two power sockets right above it. No glasses cuttlery or Kettle or any Kitchen equipment other than a sink and fridge were offered. on top of that there was a clear note saying that no outside or other food apart from the restaurant food was allowed to be stored in the Bungalows. Anything found would be taken by the cleaners. Having Babies this was a big problem for us. We quickly made it clear to them that we need supplies that the hotel couldnt offer and thanfully they allowed us to store snacks and food. We were also only given one cott for the kids. They could not give us another cott until the next day. They had a playground with slides for toddlers. Inbetween the toys, swings and slides there was a very sharp and hard cacktus type plants. Again very unsafe for children. During the day the maintenance staff would walk around fixing things, cutting hedges or checking drains. On many occasion drains were left open near walking paths. On top of that I found a sharp electric fence trimmer lying on the floor unattended in the middle of the toddler palyground!!. The staff were clearly very overworked and the resort in general was severly understaffed. Everytime we ordered food the waiters were either so tired or fed up that we received a frown or a sigh for placing an order. We were made to feel guilty for the people working there. There was one waiter who I saw working at the Bar/Restaurant from 7 am until 12 am every day including weekends. They constantly forgot orders, short changed us and even charged us extra. They also asked us if we could give up one bungalow to allow other people to have a room because the hotel had done a mistake and over booked. We declined to do this on the basis that the service and general friendliness had been so terrible. The Beach was very overcrowded with no chair/loungers available after 10 am and the beach was very shor and rocky. The Aqua park had tiled flooring. I had to carry my sons when walking on that floor as it was constantly wet and extremely slippery. Even with slippers or shoes one would still slip. All in all i would not re-visited that resort based on the above points.

Positives:

Unfortunatelty very few positive to be mentioned here. The Aqua park, apart from the odd flooring was great Fun.My Kids and I had great fun going up and down the water slides. They had very good shade with loungers on offer near the Aqua Park. The Resort itself looks fantastic and the cleanliness is generally ok. Other than the service, the small beach, and the complete disregard for childrens safety the resort itsel sells itself by looks and cleanliness. The Cleaning crew in our block were very friendly and chatty and even offered to wash our pram which got covered in ants over night.

For many people, especially families with older children ( 6-13 Year olds) and with more staff in the hotel this could be a great place to go to. But if you have young children or you expect polite and good customer service this may not be a relaxing place to go to.

the Hotel Management is in need of some major improvements.

The hotel offers a good quality for its prices! Its clean, there's enough space (we travelled off-season, though), when you hire a car you get around easily.
An advice: when tired of the hotel food, cross the mainroad and try out restaurant ALMIRA. A new little place that has superb food for a good price!
