Villa was rustic and traditional -Just as we had imagined a typically Cypriot villa to be. The Villa was spacious, well laid out and well equipped. Bedrooms were good sizes with ample storage space. We hardly used the dining room or living room as most of the time was spent on the patio over looking the pool but again these rooms were spacious and would have been more than adequate if required. We stayed in Aris villa. The upstairs balcony was huge but again we didn't use as we didn’t want to wake the kids- this was accessible from bedrooms 2 & 3.
We ordered a welcome pack which was well worth it as we didn’t arrive until 3am due to flight delay. The kitchen was basic but well equipped for our needs. The ironing board even helped out as an extra serving table! We only ate in 2 evenings using the BBQ which was fairly small and smoke did not escape through the flue as expected so there was a fair bit of coughing going on but it did the job and was fun. We had 2 issues during our stay a power cut one night and the dishwasher wasn't working properly. Both were sorted almost immediately by the house keepers even though it was late at night. Marcel and Gabrielle couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was a good one. There are 10 villas in the development and each has a generous walled plot with nice pool patio areas and gardens but there were quite a few big trees and we found our pool area a bit too shady around 5pm which was a shame to loose the sun from the pool that early.
The beach is literally on the doorstep but there are no facilities or sunbeds etc outside the villas. There is a lit beach path along this section of beach and if you turn right it’s a short walk to the Polis campsite which boasts some sunbeds and a small taverna. However turning left leads to the Polis main beach which has an ice cream parlour a restaurant (La Plage) and a beach bar which were approx. 15 min walk away. The food here was excellent and also plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. Another 10 mins and you reach Latchi town with its pretty Harbour and excellent selection of restaurants. Here you can also hire self drive boats to the Blue Lagoon which we did and was a highlight of our holiday but you can also go on one of the large tourists boats which also looked fun. Would also recommend the 3hr Buggy and Quad Bike safari again to the Blue Lagoon which was enormous fun. 5 mins past this is Latchi Beach which became our favourite spot. All the beaches were course sand and pebbles and would recommend beach shoes! All beaches were very clean and plenty of sunbeds for hire or places to lay your towels.
We hired cars to get about and used these to go to the waterpark in Paphos which is a great day out and a must for both kids and big kids. We did a second shopping trip to Paphos but this time used the Polis to Paphos bus which was only 1.50 euro pp each way and takes about 45 mins. There are some lovely shops and eateries here. Dont make a special trip just for the market however there is a modern shopping mall which is worth a visit which is about a 15min walk in from the seafront. The municipal beach was better than expected and was more like a lido being shallow, safe and still.
We had to be out of the apartment on the last day by 10am but as we had a night flight the rep told us about Soulis Hotel just up the road by car. 50 euros meant all 6 of us had a room to shower and change from midday until late. We used the facilities and spent the day round the pool and beach bar. We ate dinner here too and would recommend as it was reasonably priced and delicious.
On the whole we found the resort to be nice, quiet and relaxed. The car meant we could go further afield as the walk to the main restaurants was a bit tedious after a while. The food was excellent –we never once had a bad experience-the scales are testament to that! It would have been nice to have had a traditional market nearby and perhaps more Cypriot entertainment provided at the restaurants but overall a relaxing and happy and fun holiday.
We stayed at Villa Aphrodite (one of the two villas with direct seaview, <100m from the very clean beach) and enjoyed a very nice and recreative 2 week vacation! Friendly staff, too!
Latchi and Polis offered everything we desired. Very good Restaurants, fair prices, not overcrowded... WHAT A GREAT HOLIDAY :-)

We stayed here for 2 weeks from July-August this year. We rented one of the 2 3 bedroomed villas in the Olympians complex and on arrival, was easy to find on the drive from Paphos airport (even in the dark!) and no hassle on arrival - key was in the door and everything we needed was there. There were supposed to be 5 of us staying, but due to an accident 3 days before we flew out, only 3 of us ended up making it.
The villa was very clean and had all the basics we needed. They'd even put a bottle of water in the fridge for when we arrived! The pool was cleaned a couple of times during our stay and we had no problems with it at all. There were a couple of tiles missing from around the edge but nothing you'd instantly notice.
The bedrooms were good sized and the beds were pretty comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was lovely, but the other bathroom upstairs was tiny! There is a 3rd bathroom on the ground floor, which had a decent sized shower so I guess anyone in the 3rd bedroom would have used this. The balconies for the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were huge and looked out over the pool - it came in handy for drying things once you'd been in the pool! We paid extra to have the air conditioning in the bedrooms (6 euros a day) and it was well worth the money. There aren't any air-coniditoning units downstairs, although I believe some of the villas do have them in the living area.
To be honest, with the amazing weather in Cyprus, we hardly used the living room, and never used the dining room, as we pulled the kitchen table out on to the patio area. They were both adequately furnished, with a TV in the living room which showed several channels in English. There's no DVD player so if you wanted to take any DVD's with you, you can hire a DVD player from the owners, or take a laptop (as we did!). The sofa's aren't massively comfortable but as I say, it didn't really cause an issue for us as we were mainly outside.
The kitchen was kitted out with all the basics you need to cook, as well as a dishwasher (which we never used!). The cooker was easy enough to use, once we'd worked out that you needed to turn the timer on for it to actually work! We used the washing machine a couple of times as well, and again this worked perfectly with no problems.
The garden and outside area was immaculately maintained and the gardener came to cut the grass during our 2nd week there. There were a few lizards scampering around the garden during the days which was nice to see!
The villas are a couple of minute's walk from Latsi beach which has some great restaurants with fantastic views. There are turtle's nests on the part of the beach nearest the villas and there were lots of locals swimming in the sea.
For location, it couldn't be much better. It's easy to get to by car and you could walk in to Latsi in 15-20 minutes (although this is a bit of a struggle when it's really hot!). It's a great base for exploring the Akamas, and I would highly recommend hiring a boat and exploring the coast (either from Latsi water-sports or somewhere similar) as this was definitely the highlight of our holiday.
If we were to go back, we would definitely stay there again, or stay in another area of Cyprus that would be more central for exploring more of the Island.
For a relaxing, enjoyable holiday, this is the perfect destination.
