We have just spent a wonderful week at the Olmpic Lagoon Resort....Absolutely 5 Star in every way!!!! Leading up to our holiday I kept checking the website at every single detail so we were pleasantly surprise to see the whole perfection in real life. On arrival we were greeted with cold lemonade and check in was a smooth process. Our porter Viktor (so funny) took us to our room which made us feel welcome straight away....truly a lovely atmosphere super clean rooms! There is plenty to do at the hotel and around the area as we took several walks to the nearby harbour and took buses to see different sites the harbour is best to see in the daytime first so you get the feel of all the local cafes you can also change euros go to the supermarket if you wish and buy gifts! This lovely hotel has a well supplied gift shop and beautiful hair salon!
The whole experience was fantastic I would recommend anyone to visit we are definitely booking again next year worth every penny! Plenty of good choice of foods and different diners " it Really is" All inclusive there is absolutely everything for everyone in the family! We booked a spa treatment for my daughters birthday she rated it as one of the best she's had. The hotel was also kind enough to deliver a delicious chocolate cake and balloon to her room which was a sweet surprise made the day so special! Thank you staff!
Housekeeping is incredible rooms are throughly cleaned each morning they turn your bed down at night and leave cute little chocolates on your pillow each night :) they check you have enough bathroom towels etc daily. There is an easy to use safe in each room for valuables and extra pillows if required. The Air con dial is easy to use if you get hot at night. Caters for every need. The fridge is topped up daily with soft drinks and water :)
The Me & You bar is very savvy.....with the Most incredible professional friendly warm waiter Daniel Hall looked after us most evenings while we listened to the piano and sipped cocktails!!!!!! Thank you so very much for looking after us and making our stay so pleasant nothing is too much for him!!!
Also I huge Thank you to all the Entertainment Team who put on a great performance each night danced and sang their socks off especially Jordan who is just the most lovely member of the team you could imagine the fun not forgetting Warren. All of the staff are fantastic & helpful......The pool is well kept and facing the sea which is the most beautiful scenery coated with palm trees everywhere!!!
Thank you All once again for giving us a fantastic experience on our first visit to Cyprus!!!! We will be back soon :)

Room Tip: Best rooms are pool or sea view

We have just got back from this hotel and had an incredible time, the hotel is truly special and we will definitely go back.

We are a family of 5, kids aged 8, 6 and 2. We had a family suite without sea view. We had been booked at the Annabelle but had our reservation cancelled at last minute due to building work so we’re very lucky to get the Olympic Lagoon.

I booked based on the fabulous reviews and wasn’t disappointed. We don’t usually book all inclusive hotels as we have a car and like to go out but we loved the look of this hotel so took a chance.

The kids loved the food and drinks available. We stayed the last week in March and all the restaurants except the Cypriot were open so there was a lot of variety.

We’ve holidayed in Dubai quite a lot in the past few years and I can honestly say I preferred this hotel to all the hotels we have stayed at there, including the Madinat, Jumeriah Beach etc. I think the Cypriot people are very friendly and service orientated and the hotel felt more “real” than the huge Dubai hotels. Also, I struggle to shake the feeling I am being ripped off in Dubai where this hotel felt great value.

There was a full cocktail and drinks list, great quality food available at all times, amazing kids activities including football daily for my 8 year old who really enjoyed his games with Rob. We don’t really go in for the entertainment but we did take the kids to the disco a few times and they loved that.

There is honestly nothing I can fault with this hotel, rooms, service, food, drinks, activities, all 5 star.

For a family of 5 it can be difficult to find good hotels as most only cater to 4 but this hotel has bunk beds in a 2 room family suite layout and it was perfect for us.

We will be back again in 2019 for Easter sun!

We went away for a quick break for friends 50th wedding anniversary . Found the hotel to be extremely good. The cleanliness was exceptional , also the food was great as was the general appearance of the hotel .
We mainly used the buffet restaurant although we did also go to the Italian and diner . The food was very enjoyable in both although we were disappointed that no acknowledgment was made that it was a special occasion when we dined at the Italian for the anniversary . Also enjoyed the snackeria for a change during the day .
The pool area was fine though noticed on our last day that more sun beds had been put in ready for the Easter influx . It looked somewhat cramped !
As far as the room was concerned it was fine and well cleaned and the turndown service very good . The only downside was the patio area which was right alongside the fire escape and easily accessible from the street . It also had the vents from the kitchen above the area .
Would we return ? Yes . Would we recommend ? Yes

So we went to the Olympic Lagoon in Paphos to get married and the only word I can use is “perfect”!!! Not only was the wedding run smoothly with organization and attention to detail they really put myself (the bride) and my new husband first and couldn’t go out of their way enough to make our day perfect. The wedding coordinators Sue and Martina where both so friendly and approachable and made me feel comfortable and confident that the day would all go to plan ... which it really did !!!
The hotel it’s self was out of this world with amazing facilities and the rooms where stunning. We where in an upgrade with sea view and the room was perfect with cleaners coming in 3 times a day to re stock the fridge/tidy/turn down .
The food was all such good quality and there where a huge amount of drinks and cocktails for an all inclusive !
The entertainment on the night was fab and so much fun and all the entertainers where so friendly and really made our stay a lot of fun :) couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Real value for money and best all inclusive that we have stayed in. Will be returning next year !!!!

We read all the reviews before we booked and could not wait to arrive.
If you are used to 5 star hotels this will disappoint. The hotel is spectacularly clean which is the biggest positive. But there are many negatives - mainly around the level of service. The team lack a basic understanding of good customer service; there is a major gap between them doing the bare minimum and actually wanting you to have a good time. It feels like they collectively have a massive chip on their shoulders. It feels cultural and inherent across all areas (except housekeeping) All the foundations are there for a fantastic hotel are there but it fails to deliver on a 5 star service.

Some examples:
Bar service
- service is patchy. Specifically bar service in the main area. You have to order your own drinks as the bar the waitress service is extremely limited. They mostly ignore you - seemingly deliberately. There are many, many “hostesses” to welcome you everywhere but very few actual people who can serve you I.e give you what you want.

Beach towels
- you are told off if you ask for your beach towels to be replenished during the day. We struggled with this massively as we have young kids and are constantly in/out of water so the towels never get the chance to dry. We’ve stayed in many 5star hotels and NEVER experienced this

Restaurants
- all restaurants are closed until April 1 except the diner and the buffet dining hall.
We wish they had made this clear.
The Italian is also open but only to over 18s do did not apply to us.
It feels like everything starts on April 1. The diner is basically a gimmick. Doubt you’d return more than once.
In the main buffet the children’s selection is great but it’s basically the same food every day. It shouldn’t be hard to alter even just a little bit.

Weddings
The weddings takeover the entire hotel. To the point where they play the wedding speeches to the entire dining hall (seemingly through error but still...come on!)
Having young children and drunken wedding parties drinking on our way to breakfast is not something we’d like our children to see again.

Air con
- there is no air con (the room got so hot at night the complimentary chocolate turned into liquid) when we complained they said the air con wasnt switched on until 1 April...ridiculous excuse and also totally contradictory considering the cool air being pumped through the rest of the main building.

Smoking
Constantly breathing smoke fumes was pretty gross. Majorly so at the children’s mini disco where the bar staff literally walk out of the fierce it to smoke a fag meaning our children are on the dance floor inhaling their smoke fumes. Literally disgusting.

Dear TripAdvisor Member "A E",

I appreciate your time to review your stay with us, and thanks for sharing your constructive feedback!

Our Resort opened this year as of January 31st, and certain outdoor facilities are available weather permitting with the beginning of the Spring season. I am referring to the 2 outdoor Restaurants, 7 Orchids and Cpt.'s Deck, and some outdoor activities that are not able to be performed if the weather does not allow us. Our Royal Restaurant, Snackeria, Rock and Roll Diner, Garibaldi Ristorante Italiano are all open. We have plenty of indoor activities and indoor entertainment during the winter period.

We would have appreciated if you had reported the incident with the Pool Towels, smoking and the AC while in house, so to arrange an immediate solution for you.
We highly respect our guests and treat all of them with full professionalism and smiles in our faces.

It comes to me as a huge surprise that you have found our Bar Team "deliberately ignoring to serve you", since we are very proud of the graciousness of our Staff who never hesitate to satisfy our guests. This is also said by hundreds of comments shared in TripAdvisor.

Regarding your comment about wedding guests taking over the Hotel, this also comes as a surprise to me since we only had a couple of weddings in this season and both were of very small number of attendees and an extreme pleasure to have in house.

I hope to have the opportunity to host you again, and would love receiving your direct contact so to further investigate your complaints and find opportunities to re-gain your trust.

Sincerely yours,
