My partner and I got home from the Eleni Village on 24.10.11, we had a fantastic time. Of course as with everything, there is bad with good, so to start we shall get them out the way.
The showers in the rooms need upgrading, they change temperature all the time, the televisions need more than one English speaking channel, BBC World News loses it's appeal after the 2nd day!! Yes the rooms could do with modernisation, but they are clean and an excellent base.
When we arrived early hours on the Monday, we were dealt with quickly and professionally by Vas, he was lovely, helpful and gave us sandwiches, even though it was late.
Everything else at the hotel was great, the rooms were very clean the whole week we were there. The beds were comfy and we had a nice balcony with seats on, that we used in the evenings before going out.
The food was fabulous, there was a lot of it and a huge variety, it was fresh, and very varied every day, I personally don't eat meat if I can help it, and I can assure you I did not go hungry, there was always plenty to choose from, my partner loved the food, great selection of meat and fresh fish everyday. The food was hot when meant to be and cold when meant to be. The service in the main restaurant finishes at 9:30, but they continued to bring more food out at 9:20! The staff in the restaurant were lovely, always polite and willing to help, even thought they were always busy, the chef made an appearance every night and appreciated comments and was always willing to talk. The restaurant manager was an approachable chap, friendly and very helpful and again you could ask for anything and you knew they would try their hardest to do it for you. The restaurant was clean and the staff were efficient and cleared up very quickly, they were always busy.
The bar staff in the main bar, were all polite, helpful and the bar area was clean at all times, the staff smiled all the time and were quick to serve even when there were a few at the bar, and always seemed to know who was next and who wasn't! There was a great selection on offer for the all-inclusive, and the cocktails were lovely and no skimping on the measures either. The tables in the bar areas were clean and there was always someone clearing your glasses away and changing ashtrays for people.
The pool bar was lovely also, again lovely helpful staff, the food down here is served when the restaurant is closed during the day, it is lovely food and hot and quick.
The pool itself was gorgeous, plenty of beds and umberellas, the beds were comfy too. The pool could have been warmed a touch, as it was very cold. But again very clean and the poolside area was spotless.
The entertainment crew were excellent at their job, considering the limitation they had! But the fire show and their comedy bit are worth seeing. They were always around asking did we want to join in, in games during the day, but never pressurised us. The kids loved them.
You can catch the bus the 615 into Paphos Harbour, it takes approx 20 mins with all the stops, this is the main shopping place. If you don't like being around lots of people in one go then don't go on the buses! They seat 38 and stand 60, and they do cram them in, also at peak times if you catch the bus back to the hotel be aware that no-one queues they all just get on. Buy a 2 euro all day pass and it works out a lot cheaper. The market wasn't that great, but worth a look if you like that sort of thing.
It's worth paying to keep your room if you have a late flight like we did till 6pm. It cost us 30 euro's and was nice to relax getting ready. Then it seemed a shorter time to wait till the transfer came for us.
The views from the hotel are stunning, it looks out to the sea and the surrounding area. The only thing in my partners opinion that would have made it better was a beach, but we didn't see one around the hotel or surrounding ones. A nice purpose made inlet for people to swim in and snorkel as it's sea-water was available a short walk from the Eleni Village.
All in all we had a fab time here and would have no problem recomending it to anyone. It caters for all.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the back lane and the bouganvilla flowers, a heck of a lot quieter.

We have stayed in Eleni village at the beginning of October and overall have enjoyed. Staff at reception were very helpful and nice (special thanks to Aris, Mira and Shireen:). Room tidy and great views around. We were just a bit surprised about extra charges for example for key to safe. Food was okay but could be more traditionally cypriot and hot ;) Overall we have good memories and meet some lovely cypriot people there :)

we stayed for 2 weeks at end of august and had a great time all the staff were very good . we stayed all inc and it was great to get your drinks in proper glasses instead off plastic beakers and it wasnt watered down chris the head barman allways gave decent measures but his sidekick was a bit stingy with the drinks the pool bar in the day time was very good as well cant remember the names off the staff sorry but they all were brill very busy but they were allways cheerfull . the food was better than it looked the rooms were ok clean and roomy on downside we had a little problem with ants and was a bit worried about security our room was on ground floor with sea view which meant it was near perimeter of hotel there was no fence between hotel and local path our patio door had a very small bolt on and that was it ther was marks on frame where someone had a go at getting in i never saw ay type of security . the first three days we tried to get sunbeds round pool but was unsucsesful due to peopel putting towels on early in the morning but we found it better to go down to the grass area this was quieter and nowhere as busy . and closer to pool bar . we wouldnt go back but i wouldnt put anybody off goino there .i'd just like to add do not book with sunmaster holidays you will be ripped off the price you click on to pay is not the price you end up paying we ended up paying 300 pounds more and no amount of arguing on the phone could change it they have awell rehearsed answer for everything so please please do not book with them .so book with someone else and enjoy a well earned hol

Room Tip: try to get upstairs room with sea view

We arrived just after midnight, so sadly only got a bottle of water and a sandwich, but in all honesty, all we wanted to do was go to bed and be fully refreshed for our 1st full day.
Always interesting to see what the breakfasts are like given how important it is to us Brits (and all reviewers) ......we were not disappointed : all food was very good. Nicely presented and cooked wonderfully.....lots of variety too : I even tried all the fish dishes :-)
All staff were very efficient and always respectful : mealtimes were like a well oiled machine.
Pool area looked good, but we positioned ourselves on the wide grassy area near the pool bar (who also did great, but basic grub....I love halloumi)
Weather was Fab.......30° nearly EVERY day.....bliss.
In the evening we got into a great routine very quickly : early dinner (at 7pm) then 2 seats at the end of the bar : great for people watching.
Tanya from Latvia was very good and when she was too busy, we were looked after by Mr Chatty himself, head barman Chris....considering it was always just the 2 of them (I don't remember when they had any nights off) they looked after the bar fantastically well.......we worked our way thru the cocktail menu. If you ever wanted a little more alcohol in your drink, it was never a problem.....although, for me, it was on 1 night :-(
In our 2nd week, we got chatting to the truly world widely hotel manager Vas : he really does have the instant respect of staff and guests alike :-) A very hospitable man who is also great to listen to and very kind/generous.
Rooms are very clean and very well equipped .......air con very effective. Only slight issue we had was with water pressure : if you chose to use the bathroom/shower at a time when others in your block were, the water pressure was very low......so it sometimes changed from cold to hot to cold in the shower :-(
The entertainment team worked VERY hard and the "audience " were sometimes VERY hard work and unappreciative......usually the biggest round of applause was for the 1 or 2 kids who participated in the "kiddy disco " each night.
Our favourite entertainment team member was "Frenchy " (Adriane?), but Annis and Katu (apologies for my shocking spelling) worked very hard.
We had a very relaxing holiday: ventured out a couple of times and the sunsets could be amazing.
Ignore bad reviews: some people will always find something to moan about......eleni staff (and management) try super hard to make your holiday perfect.......and I must finish by once again thanking Vas for not only locating some pickled walnuts for me (a childhood memory for me when I shared a flat with 2 Greek Cypriot friends) but he also very kindly bought me some as a gift......what a top man.
Go.

What a great place to stay, we got married in Cyprus on 7th October, ourselves and 20 family and friends stayed here and we couldn't have asked for more, the staff are so efficient and nothing is to much trouble, the reception staff are amazing especially Aris, he even brought in a local drink for all my family to try when they arrived, we got a bottle of champagne and fruit the day after our wedding from the hotel, and another night we got a bottle of champagne from the hotel manager who is a fantastic person and certainly knows how to run a hotel, we were all inclusive and the food was great as where the drinks and not watered down as other guests have implied, the Brandy Alexanders are to die for, but all cocktails are really good. The entertainment is not fantastic but is certainly watchable and your on holiday so go with the flow. Don't be put off by the bad reviews some people must be so picky, I couldn't fault this place one bit if you needed something they got it for you, we met people there to and they said they had had a great time. Go to the Eleni you will love it. Also there aren't loads of rules about all inclusive, we where ordering loads of drinks on one order and they never bothered.
