Just returned from 2 weeks in the Princessa Vera and everything was 5 star until the last day.
From the start things were ok. Booked through Jet2, who appear to be the only UK travel agent using this hotel, which was fine. Only problem is they do not have a travel/resort rep who attends the hotel. Now if you've never been to Paphos before this could be a problem as it appeared the only way to contact them was to get the hotel to phone them for you which they were only to happy to do. (Plus mark for Princessa Vera)
The hotel is well placed on the Tomb of the Kings road, the main road from Paphos to Coral Bay, and is about a 15 min walk to Paphos harbour and associated bars, restaurants and shops and regular buses, 615, go to both the harbour and Coral Bay. Locally there are plenty of bars, Harley's in the hotel itself, and restaurants nearby as well as local supermarkets and the impressive Kings Mall shopping centre 3 minute walk away. Car hire operators and island tour trips can be found very close by and are usually far cheaper than tour operator organised.
The hotel itself full filled all our needs. Room 215, an apartment, was very comfortable. Cleaned very regularly with clean towels every other day and sheets at least twice a week. As an apartment it had a large, somewhat irrelevant, seating/dining area with a small settee, small table and chairs, small kitchen area of a fridge, kettle, microwave, cutler, sink and work surface. Plenty of plug sockets for charging mobile devices (no need for adaptors as its UK plugs). The bathroom was excellent. Clean, well appointed and with soap/shower gel dispensers. The bedroom area had excellent comfortable beds and ample storage. The balcony overlooks the main road which is fun to look at in the evening! Only problem, diagonally opposite is the Pit Stop Pub which has 'entertainment ' on most nights and can be heard in the room after midnight.
We booked b&b and meals are served by the pool area. Breakfast was a buffet style and very good with ample choice of both cold continental style and hot selection. Bacon is streaky and sausages more continental style.
The pool area appeared clean and very good, there are 2 pools, but we didn't use this area as the hotel is only a 3 minute walk from the beach.
All staff were very friendly and helpful especially in the dining area and Harley's.
Harley's, as part of the hotel, is a very smart bar used by anybody. Local beer, Keo, was €2.90 a pint (occasionally they had beer happy hours from 4.00 - 6.00 pm at €2.00 per pint but these were not every day). The bar had football/sport on numerous screens every day and music all the time. Sunday evening there was a very reasonable duo performing. Every evening from 9.00 - 11.00pm was half priced cocktails which was excellent. The bar staff were superb. Just take a seat and your order is taken and served.
Everything is great until you come to go. Most UK flights return in the evening/night. You have to vacate your room by 12.00 midday. Now here's a problem if you're not being picked up until 7.00 pm or later. What do you do with your luggage and if you've been to the beach or out in the 30+degree heat where do you shower and change. There is a gym area near the dining area (cross trainer, tread mill, sauna and jacuzzi) with a shower. Problem. Shower is not private and anybody can walk in. Near the smaller pool there is a shower/toilet area which again is not lockable. Luggage can be left in a luggage room near the Reception desk but this is not locked. This is where the hotel looses the fifth star. You would think they would have a secure area for luggage and a room where people can shower and change in the knowledge they won't be disturbed.
All in all a very very good hotel and will probably return.
One last point. Biblio Globus. Buses you will see all the time dropping of and picking up guests. During our stay the majority of guests were from Russia. No problem at all but worth noting

hopeless service

Everything old and dirty, elevator did not have air conditioning. On the suggestion that there is no butter for breakfast, the waiter said that butter will be tomorrow and today we can eat margarine, WTF ?, lack of empathy from the staff, more they are messing themselves up than hotel guests. I do not recommend this hotel for high money.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the pool

Lovely hotel just had a disappointing end to the holiday!
Well this little hotel is a great little find. It's in a brilliant location on a great stretch of road offering lots of different restaurants. We did the coastal walk every day into Paphos. It took us about half an hour and took you straight into the harbour.
The room which was a studio 218 was clean and spacious offering a pool/sea view. The room was cleaned daily with beds and towels changed twice during our 8 night stay. If you are a light sleeper the rattling of cutlery and plates may wake you early in the morning.
Pool was always clean and we never had a problem getting a sun bed.
We stayed bed and breakfast which did offered a range of a full English and continental.
Now the best thing about this hotel is the bar staff/waiters/waitress in Harley's bar! They make this hotel!! They are polite, warm, friendly, always said hello and even remembered our drinks order towards the end of the holiday. They don't get enough credit for what they do for this hotel! They make this hotel!!!! And I don't want what I'm about to write to effect them.

The one thing that disappointed me and to be honest and put a damper on my holiday was we couldn't have a late check out. Now I'm fully aware that the hotel may be full and they couldn't accommodate us but the facilities they offer are not great.
First of all the luggage room doesn't lock but has cameras so you leave your luggage in there at your own risk.
My mum has lots of medication which she will have to carry around with her all day as she has nowhere to put them. Her medical condition is made worse by her being anxious which she already is due to the luggage situation and the thought of having a shower with no privacy. Most hotels offer a room for all to use. Here you are offered their gym or swimming pool showers which are not private at all! No locks and no rooms to get changed in.
We are not leaving the hotel till seven this evening so have a day of sat with our luggage in the blazing heat and having to get ready to leave in a glass door gym fully exposed to everyone.
So my advice to you is if you are leaving on a late flight, before you arrive book and extra day so you are guaranteed your room.

Stayed here with my 16 year old son. Room (superior studio) was a good size, very clean and well equipped. We were fortunate to have balcony facing pool area so very quiet at night. Air conditioning in room was brilliant and absolutely essential. Pools were good but many of the sunbeds were torn which meant lying on them was interesting at times. Handy pool bar but not sure much point in having gym area - maybe off season it is in use, but limited equipment. Really good location for good range of restaurants on the Kings road, and the shopping centre - and only a short walk to the beach and coastal path and easy walk to harbour.
We were bed and breakfast and found the quality and availability of breakfast really good even 10 minutes before the end of serving time. We paid for wifi so we were not restricted to foyer to use it - felt a bit steep to charge for each device, but it worked well - and essential for teenage guests!

Arrived late Sunday night a week ago. Hotel very clean, well maintained hotel.Staff not always friendly and not always helpful which was a bit of a disappointment as most reviews have said how good they where. We stayed bed and breakfast which was OK, no different to any other hotel I've stayed in.Room cleaned every day on request.Pool area clean and never had a problem getting a sunbed.
Pool bar not always attended but Harleys bar the place to be, now the staff there where very friendly n happy to help. Hotel only a short work from the Harbour.
Plenty of places to eat, drink and the new shopping mall was a God send when you needed air conditioning.
The only thing to let the hotel down would be lack of facilities if your not allowed to keep your room on. The day I was due to leave at least 5 couples where un Able to keep a rooms on. Which meant we had to sit around from 12 until 7pm and have to take a shower in the gym room which wasn't very private. Certainly think the hotel need to look into keeping a few rooms free for guest that have late flights.Over all a lovely hotel and location is ideal..........
