The Mercure in Graz .is a lovely clean hotel beautiful staff nothing to much for them .Room are fab .you couldn't ask for anymore. I can't wait to go back there .hopefully next year or the year after.

Review of Hotel Mercure Graz City

My husband and I stayed here to be close to the train station. We took a cab at a cost of 7 euros one way. Bed and pillows were comfortable and bathroom well equipped. We did not purchase the buffet breakfast because of the high cost but it appeared to have a large variety of items. We found the cost of our rooms a bit high as well. But both room and common areas were clean and bright. Our only complaint was the check in staff which did not present themselves to be welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had to ask about where we could go for supper and were told of two restaurants close by. What the agent didn’t tell us (or offer to do) was the restaurant required reservations. The next morning there was a farmers market in the plaza nearby. Might have been nice to have been told so we go and find a breakfast place there. We did fin one in a bakery. We picked that one because it was busy so we figured it must be good. And the cheese danish and cappuccinos were delicious and less costly than the hotel breakfast. More authentic too.

This Mercure hotel is very well located in the heart of the city. Rooms are like the Mercure standard and the cleanliness is well at that location. Breakfast buffet is fine, you can find everything you want and need. Only things to be ameliorated could be the sometimes high price.

Just to let you all know that this hotel does not provide air con although this is advertised as a room amenity. I am an Accor Gold Member and have stayed at many Mercure hotels but this is the first which does not provide AC. To clarify it is currently late August with daytime temperatures of 30C+ and nighttime minimums of 20C. Management have set the minimum room temperature at 25C which means the rooms are impossible to sleep in (currently 2am and 27C in my room). Staff changed our rooms 3 times but AC issue remains in all. Will be forced to move to another hotel, first time in over 300 Accor stays in 40+ countries. Avoid in summer. Staff have little understanding even though this is obviously a hotel policy.

The hotel is great. Kind staff. My room was proper. I spent my time there due to work. I could relax very well. I had breakfast in the price and it was really great to have these delicious meals before work. The hotel has a good placement. Everything is very close to it. If you choose this hotel for any purpose, you wont be dissapointed.

My family and I have been on travel for two months and stayed in 20 hotels. The Mercure Graz City is near the top of the list of our favorite hotels for this trip. From the service at check in through our check out, it was perfect. Great location, nice rooms, good breakfast, and convenient parking made this a "we need to return to this hotel" event. I want to especially commend and thank Stoyan Yoroanov and Lily Nagy, front office, for their attention to detail and responsiveness.
