I stayed here for a forumla 1 weekend. As this was in July it was quite hot but there is no air condition. As there are many resturants close by it was quite noisy to have the window open. Don't stay here during summer time. The breakfast was good. Good coffee, eggs dishes is ordered and the ham was good. Fresh fruit. Parking can be done for a reasonable cost just outside the hotel but space is limited.
We arrived around noon and were pleased to hear our room was ready. We could park at their own parking space just across the street, which was really convenient.
The room was simple but immaculately clean as was the rest of the hotel.
Location wise it's simply great with the old centre within a few minutes walking distance and the lively Lendlplatz around the corner.
Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with fresh ingredients, lots of choice and eggs prepared as you wish them.
A great hotel for a short city trip or if you like to have a break when you travel further south to Slovenia, Croatia, i.e.
Yes location is important and this hotel has a perfect location. But this is not everything you should look for. Staying in a charming city as Graz will become less charming if you spend a few hours in this unadorned, unsympathetic place.
I was on a business trip, so I did care less, but spending some hours inside at a rainy weekend day was no fun.
I totally understand why people go for personal AirBnB places instead of sterile hotels like this.
Well-provisioned room, comfortable bed, and a reasonable choice for breakfast. Unfortunately whilst well-designed, clean and orderly, it was little too functional and didn't really feel particularly homely. Fine for budget business visits, although the WiFi was rather unreliable.
I have never ever given any hotel 1 star- but this one deserves it. Graz was such a charming town but even after a year I still cant's forget the bad treatment we received at the reception. The lady was in an argument with another staff member so she literally snapped at us when we had to check in. She gave us a room that was so hot & no AC- so I came down & asked if it was possible to get a room on the shady side of the hotel. Of course, I should have expected this- she just snapped at me- saying that the hotel was fully booked-- all rooms sold out. We didn't notice many people in the hotel but then we decided not to spend any time in the room. At night we found the TV did not work, the shower had no pressure- & the room was so hot with the sun shinning all day- but we were not going to ask for anything at this point. However, the next evening we noticed a different lady on duty- & we told her or TV was not working - nor was the shower- she was so pleasant- & she offered to have us change our room- quite the opposite of the snappy woman..However our stay was already spoiled & we we glad to leave this hotel the next day.
