Just spent two nights at The Intercontinental in Vienna.
-Was able to check in early.
-Location is 10 minutes walk from main city wanted and Sr Stephens. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
-Breakfast is excellent and has a wide variety. Eggs cooked to order, omelette, Benedict, etc. Staff in restaurant is friendly and accommodating.
-Bellmen are helpful and plenty, the stars of the hotel.
Cons (and why I won’t stay there again):
-The front desk staff has all the charm of toenail fungus.
-The bed might be the most uncomfortable hotel bed of my life, I barely slept.
-The rooms are warm and could not be cooled to a temperature that induced sleep.
-I was put in a room with a strangers, twice! Each time I moved to the supposedly correct room, someone else’s things were in the room.
-We were given incorrect info by the front desk, then criticized loudly when we acted on the misinformation.
-The lobby bar is beautiful with efficient service, but 5 euros for an expresso cup of hot chocolate???More
- Free Wifi
