I stayed here on my honeymoon; this is an ultramodern, private, boutique hotel tucked away on a small street between Stephenzplatz and Schwedensplatz (and their respective metro stops--very convenient!). You almost wouldn't know its there as the sign is a small flag over an ordinary looking door next to several local businesses. You enter on the ground floor where storage cabinets and communal bikes (available to anyone staying there) are located, and the elevator takes you up to reception on the 2nd floor. There, you'll find friendly reception staff, a comfortable lounge with a piano, CDs and books to borrow, newspapers to read, and a computer and printer to use. Next to the lounge is the breakfast room. This is by far the best hotel breakfast I have ever eaten, and it is included in the price of the room. There is a meat and cheese platter, freshly-baked bread basket, fresh squeezed juice smoothie, coffee/tea/espresso, fresh fruit salad, and hot egg options (which change daily) in addition to house baked pastries, fresh jams (rhubarb vanilla--yum!), cereals, and crepes. Amazing. period. The hotel also has a restaurant down the street that serves lunch and dinner which we did not have a chance to go to, but it gets wonderful reviews and the menu looks delicious.

The rooms are super modern with an open concept--the sink and bathtub are on one side of the low wooden room divider, and the bed and sofa are on the other. At first I was a little wary of the open shower/sink thing, but it is designed well and there are no problems with water getting everywhere as I feared. The bed was comfortable and large, and the room also had a desk area with outlets and ethernet hookup, though there is free wifi as well. My only criticism of the room is that the lighting was low so it was difficult to put on my makeup. Otherwise, it was lovely!

The hotel also boasts a spa and movie theater (neither of which we had a chance to use) on the 1st floor, and an outdoor garden terrace for relaxing outside. The staff was extremely helpful when we needed help with public transportation and changing some of our dinner reservations. The location of the hotel is a short walk from St. Stephen's cathedral, and we walked everywhere we wanted to go within the city center. For trips a little farther, the hotel is conveniently located between Stephensplatz and Schwedensplatz metro stops.

Overall this was a unique hotel with wonderful amenities, and incredible breakfast, helpful staff, and a quiet yet convenient location. Would definitely go back.

The hotel was great...fantastic location and terrific staff. The layout and design of the rooms were also very unique. i loved the fresh fruit in the room (for free!).

I was disappointed that they didnt have a car service. when i called to ask if they could pick me up they said that taxis are easy to access and i should just try that but that they could call one for me - it seemed like they would prefer me to just get my own taxi which wasn't a big deal from the train station but i did expect them to be a bit more accommodating than that.

the exterior is very discreet and subtle but i enjoyed that a lot. Overall, i would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat...

This hotel deserves top rating. Not that much more expensive than the competition, it offers much more. The food is excellent and the rooms extremely comfortable. Location is perfect.

Spent four nights in this mod second and third story hotel, very easily missed, on a small quiet street in the north end of central Vienna. Rooms were ample, with lots of 90 degree angled furniture, light buttons, and doors mimicking walls. Bathrooms were average sized for Europe, with little shower splash protection. Central rooms had lots of books, cool lighting, and good booze on the honor system, as well as tea time. A single free Imac notebook sits on third floor. Staff was friendly and helpful, and all spoke English. Films are shown, gratis, in a little theater on the second floor; we saw the Third Man one night.

Breakfasts were included, and quite abundant and lavish. We did not eat dinner here, but if dinner is anything like breakfast, it would be very, very good.

This is located pretty close to the Stephans Dom, and has a lot of small neighborhood stores around it, as opposed to lots of other hotels. Figlmuller is a nearby popular restaurant, and the Pfandl "creperie" places are good late night eating spot.

The Hofburg and Kunsthistorisches/ MuseumQuartier are 15 and 20 minute walks away, respectively, and the Belvedere farther still. It is not too close to a U-bahn stop. To be closer to all these things, you might look for a place south of the Stephansplatz. But this is a nice place--no question.

One thing to know--to book this place, you have to pay for it in full, without the ability to cancel. This is an inconvenience in planning a trip--no question.

A charming hotel right in the centre of Vienna, 2minutes from St Stephens Square. It is unusual in that the entrance is to an apartment building and the hotel is on the first and second floors. The rooms are a good size and ultra-modern. Nothing is too much trouble and is very clean. Breakfast is a gastronomic experience: fresh fruit, selection of bread & rolls, platter of the day (cheese, cold meats, fish, salad), cake, jam, cereal, eggs however you like them, bacon, the list goes on! There is a small cinema where I watched The Third Man!

Room Tip: Hotel is not in a main street so is quiet.
