Stopped by for dinner. We had salmon sashimi and a number of rolls. The sashimi was some of the best I have ever had. The rolls were good. The place seems to specialize in big bowl family style dining which we didn't try. Service was good. I would definitely go back.

Very popular among locals you'd go here to get Asian seafood as well as soups and casseroles. Avoid the sushi, though popular, this is far from what they're doing best.

Options or variety can be limited in Oslo but we are glad to find Sato. Oslo has a million "Japanese" sushi restaurants but none of them are really Japanese! But Sato seems like the real deal. They got more than sushi! Their list of Japanese dishes are great and something that is needed! Their sushi is good. The prices are average and what is expected from the over priced Oslo. So if you are in town and looking for a good ramen; Sato is worth the visit.

An empty restaurant meets us in the middle of the best dinner time one Friday night.
A sleepy Japanese waitress gives us two menus, but forget to welcome us to the restaurant this evening.

We order three starters and a main course. We start with Sushi with eel, tempura vegetables and dim sum. Everything tastes ok, but nothing special.

For the main course we take crispy pork with a special sauce. Just okay again, but nothing special at all.

This is a sleepy resturant, and a boring place to be Friday at Frogner in Oslo. Kind of ok and approved but not a place you visit twice. Unfortunately.
