As a business traveller who sometimes has to eat alone, the sign of a good restaurant is not only the food and the atmosphere, but also its ability to accommodate and entertain a single diner. I visited Trondheim in January, and crossed the bridge from my hotel in search of a warm and cosy place to eat. The Cielo Uno did me proud. The staff put me on a generous table amongst the cheerful groups of diners, not jammed in a corner near the toilets. The waitress took my order and then stayed to chat a bit, and picked up the conversation when she returned with food or drink, or when she had a moment. I was not rushed to make room for a more lucrative couple or four-some, and - yes, the food was fresh and tasty, and the local beer delightful. Recommended.
