We stayed here for two nights just before the Easter break. The hotel was very clean and felt Victorian. My son was at least 5 decades younger than any other guest in the hotel!! But there is nothing wrong with that. The room was spacious and had a lovely sea view one afternoon, as mist came down for the rest of our stay. Very comfortable mattress, twin room. The teas and coffees were restocked each day which doesn’t usually happen. Not far from the start of the South Downs way and a two mile walk to the beachy head pub, I think it must be the closest, but this does mean it is a 20-ish Minute walk to the pier etc. It was quiet though.
The breakfast was in a grand room, continental as a small buffet and hot to order, this came within 10 mins. Very nice pain au chocolat. The lift looked very old considering how many people used it!! Parking: there is parking in a small car park but we found it filled up quickly, but there is a lot of on street parking around the hotel which we made do with. Overall a very pleasant trip to Eastbourne, would stay again. More
