We really enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and well appointed and the price was reasonable. This is a traditional type of hotel but much better then most. All the rooms appear to have been decorated recently and are pleasant to be in. When we arrived all of the parking spaces had been taken and, being reluctant to leave my keys for others to move my car, I was concerned that this was going to be a problem but the very helpful person at reception soon arranged a space for us that resolved the situation. The hotel is well positioned for the seafront and town centre. If visiting Eastbourne again would I definitely stay at this hotel.

Recently spent a night here and I can say it’s absolutely spot on for the money. On arrival we were shown through to the lounge for a lovely couple of scones and tea. Long walk along the seafront in the pouring rain and back for dinner which was excellent. The portions are very generous. Very comfy room, lovely bath couldn’t fault it. The following morning we very pleasantly surprised by breakfast. It was better than a few 5* hotels I’ve stayed in. Service was great. It’s a 3* hotel, they don’t pretend to be anything better but the service and food certainly is.

Room Tip: Email ahead for a bath

This was our second visit to the Devonshire Park and it has maintained its high standard. The room and bathroom were excellent, and the staff (reception and waiting) were beyond reproach. The restaurant too is excellent. Hard to find any fault, only drawback is the size of the carpark which is tight, but this is a small inconvenience in the context of a hotel situated so close to the seafront and amenities. We'll be back.

Easy to find and close to seafront. Parking good. Hotel staff could not be more obliging. Room large, spotless and well appointed. Restaurant food and service excellent and would recommend the restaurant to non residents.

On arrival for a week's stay, we received a warm welcome at reception. Our room was clean and bright and the en-suite bathroom was immaculate. We slept well in a large comfortable bed which was supplied with plenty of pillows. Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, there was a good choice on the menu of delicious food: we made a point of thanking the chef for his excellent preparation and presentation of the evening meals. Throughout, the attention of the staff was at all times first class. A much needed quiet and restful stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms throughout the hotel in which we have stayed have been quiet and pleasant.
