The St Georges Hotel is situated on the Promenade, it occupies a corner position and it looks very impressive and clean from the outside, which is a very good sign. We stayed for one night with my partners parents. From the outset the overriding feeling you get is that all the staff cannot do enough to make your stay happy and memorable. From check in to check out you are cared for in what is spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated hotel which retains some historic detail. Both rooms where furnished to the highest standards and once the door was shut all you could hear was the waves lapping onto the beach below. The night we stayed there was a large function at the hotel, but we never heard a sound once upstairs. We had our evening meal in the Terrace Restaurant which has 2 AA rosettes. The food was beautifully cooked and the portions were generous and tasty, all the staff were most attentive and polite.
We opted to have our breakfast in our room. it was presented on time by 2 female members of staff who where charming with a lovely 'good morning' greeting. We ordered a full cooked breakfast and it was up there with some of the best breakfasts I have had in a hotel with good quality ingredients nicely cooked, and perfectly presented.
With an 11am check out we took are time and left the hotel relaxed and refreshed. I can now see why this establishment has been the choice of seven Prime Ministers through the years.
We will by back without a doubt.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the Sea View room.

We used the St George's Hotel for a two-night break 24/25 February 2012 - father & son and our wives - and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this grand, well-run hotel. Car parking is always a problem, but we coped with on-promenade parking at £1.50 for 24 hours. Rooms were on the third floor - one with sea view and one without - but very pleasant, spotlessly clean and very adequate at £115 per night with breakfast. We chose to eat in local restaurants, but enjoyed excellent and traditional breakfasts in the hotel. A busy, but very pleasant hotel in which the staff are extremely helpful, courteous and " attentive with a smile ! "

Room Tip: It is probably worth choosing sea-view rooms if the extra premium is within your budget. If price...

What a fantastic hotel, where do I start. This hotel is very family orientated which is nice, the staff are very friendly and will bend over backwards to help you. Food, service and standard extremely high. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent, We stayed in the "Orme Suite" and it was just perfect highly recommended. There was only one problem "We had to leave" see you really soon guys, keep up the good work. Hope to be back at Easter.

It's great to read how much you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to review.
Our Orme Suite is a new bedroom only created recently by our In House Maintenance team, they will be delighted to read your comments, must say the windows provide quite unique views of the promenade and the Great Orme.
We shall look forward to welcoming you back to St George's for Easter.

Spent the Valentines weekend at the St George Hotel and can’t fault it if I tried. There is a problem with the parking in Llandudno but I was lucky to find an empty space at the hotel car park after driving round the block a few times. The room overlooking the promenade and the sea was quite charming and the enormous king size bed was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, sipping the champagne and munching the chocolates.
The evening meal was excellent and very well presented and the staff of the St George Hotel were very efficient and obliging. We thoroughly enjoyed out weekend and will stay again when we are next in Llandudno

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra and book a sea view room - it's worth it

We are a family over 3 generations with relatives nearby. We have regularly stopped for lunch here and have always enjoyed the great food and service over many years. However, sadly we won't be returning following our latest experience. Lunch was sadly very average this time. However, the most disappointing part of our visit were the clearly over stretched staff who we found to be initially cold, unhelpful, brusque and not very accommodating. Perhaps retraining in customer service may not go a miss here. There are many establishments which serve good food in the area, with a great all round experience also. We'll be visiting these in the future.

Before responding to your review I would wish to express my frustration and sadness with such a review not that it states a negative but after many years enjoying great food and service and having never left a review you sadly have been disappointed, though I would strongly wish to emphasis no manager/supervisor can recall this complaint being made at the time and I as the manager have received no written letter to investigate and respond accordingly and therefore try to restore a good relationship which after so many years would have been so appropriate and further satisfied any need to review at all.
As to your comments on the team and service then we pride ourselves on friendly yet efficient service and if we have failed, than I am sorry and would ask you to contact me directly, so I may offer a fuller and more appropriate response.
Finally I can only ask all T/A users to read the endless reviews highlighting a hard working friendly efficient team that makes St George's the success it is.
