Stayed for 2 nights as was at a family wedding. Booked in advance so got excellent value for money. Rooms are a little dated, and some are quite small however it was clean and the staff were extremely friendly.

Bar area and selection of drinks was good. The breakfast offered a good variety and was clearly freshly made.

Would visit again if staying in Llandudno.

We stayed for two nights at the Cae Mor in January. A very enjoyable two days in a hotel which is undergoing substantial upgrade.

We chose the Cae Mor because:

- excellent sea front position with sea view from most rooms (we had a corner room with sea views on two sides!)
- big car park (not usual in Llandudno)
- adjacent to Venue Cymru
- pet friendly.

The new owners are very welcoming and make you feel welcome- I would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel (look out for restauarant facilities shortly)

Room Tip: ask for sea vew

My husband and I had stayed near Llandudno on quite a few occasions. This was mainly because we didn’t think we’d ever find a hotel with its own car park in the town. Therefore when we realised that The Cae Mor Hotel had a reasonably sized car park of its own we decided to check out the hotel a little more. We were so pleased that we did. On enquiring if they had a room (phone the hotel direct for the best deal) we were greeted by a very pleasant sounding lady. Fortunately for us they still had one double bedroom left for our chosen dates. On arrival we were immediately impressed by the very warm welcome from all the staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, very warm and very comfortable. As it was on the third floor we also found it to be extremely quiet. The view was of the car park situated behind The theatre (Venue Cymru) next door. This did not bother us at all. In fact it was very good for people watching! Should there be anything on at the theatre we are interested in The Cae Mor Hotel will be an ideal base. The hotel has its own reasonably priced bar.
The new owners have been working tirelessly to bring the hotel up to a very high standard and are striving to continue this. Obviously they have had teething troubles when taking over the hotel but any faults are quickly rectified. Unless people bring faults to their attention they cannot address them. In the next few weeks they hope to be serving evening meals as currently it is only bed and breakfast. The breakfasts are huge and delicious. A help yourself buffet c/w fruit juices, cereals etc and a full delicious Welsh breakfast. It certainly set us up for the day.
We wish Marc, Sheryl and the team all the very best for the future. May they go from strength to strength. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were made to feel extremely welcome from the moment we stepped through the front door. So thank you Marc, Sheryl, Lucie & Crystal & Lindsey and all the team it was a fabulous weekend. We’ve already booked for another stay. We are certainly looking forward to it.

Tried to use them for a wedding reception and their best room on the wedding night and was quoted one price then was informed by the owner it was a a lot more money and for that time of year (August 2018) they were unable to rent their most expensive room for just one night it WOULD HAVE to be 2 nights minimum and they wouldn't let us hire out the function room even though it was available on the date in question.I wanted to use the Cae Mor hotel as I met my fiancee 2 days before my birthday and I had a fancy dress birthday Party 2 days after I met him, in the Cae Mor and that's where he met me for our first date.

Pros:
Reasonable price
Great breakfast
Very friendly staff
Great location
Free on site parking
Nice communal areas

Cons:
Shabby decor in places
Lockout after midnight - need to call porter
Room slightly on the small side and a comedy "view" of the shopping area car park

My wife and I had a great stay here.

We would gladly stay again.

Stayed: November 2017
