I used to be a member of the Club until I had kids, now my son is playing I've been waiting for an opportunity to return to the course I have missed so much.

Unfortunately the return was due to a funeral but upon arriving at the club the welcome was wonderful, and the food outstanding! The clubhouse has been refitted since I left and is much more appealing.

The bonus was a sneaky 9 holes with my son in the evening, and the course was in exceptional condition !!!

This course is a must for any golfer visiting Suffolk. A James Braid designed course it is great test of golf in a great setting. At well over 100 years old this is a very mature course that is well spread out over Rushmere Common.
The members of this club are very welcoming to guests and it has an excellent professional in Kelvin Vince, whose shop is well stocked.
Another highlight of any visit to the club is the catering, the food is top notch, well presented are reasonably priced. Members function nights sell out in hours of a notice going on the board. Subject to availability it is also possible to hire out the club's function rooms.

Always friendly reception at RGC. Great test of golf. Patience required when local dog walkers appear out of the gorse but well worth the visit. Sean the chef produces the best sirloin in the area.
