We like Premier Inn because they are a safe pair of hands. The value is second to none and they are available all over. Can't ask for more.
The location on the Chantry is perfect for us just outside of town and easy access to the main roads.
Perfect for visiting local sights and popping back for a rest before heading out again.

We usually stay here when we are visiting RSPB Minsmere further up the coast. This weekend the hotel was full (along with all other Ipswich Premier Inns) due to Foxton Stadium Hot Rod weekend. We stayed on for Monday and Tuesday nights and were surprised to hear the hotel was still full. Looked like lots of business people use it hence trouble parking due to their work vans in the car park.
Welcome was friendly and rooms were very clean. We had a slight problem when the bathroom floor was flooded. Receptionist called a manager but as there was not a single spare room in the hotel we agreed to use spare towels to dry it up. The next day while we were out someone checked it and found the toilet flush had jammed. No maintenance was available until the day we were checking out. The manager gave us free breakfast as compensation.

Room tip: We always ask for rooms in the annexe out the back as they seem quieter.

Our stay at Chantry Park was chosen a base to visit the Suffolk coast. Checked in with a frosty receptionist, no pleasantries just directions to find our room, the hotel was full.
Everyone staying has to push or pull doors to get to rooms, this was a worry with Covid.
We took two rooms for two nights, our room was small in poor condition. The sheets had not been cleaned properly and you could see blood stains on them. Spiders with there webs looked content. The mattress was nice but the bed creaked at the slightest movement. The tv control did not work.
The reception 'music' came through the floor into our room along with the downstairs doors slamming both reception and for the early kitchen.
Neither room was cleaned between days due to lack of staff, we had to requested bed linen which seemed a problem as they tried four sets before one was considered clean enough. My wife and daughter cleaned one room and I was given bathroom cleaning products and a toilet brush to clean the bathroom, later to be offered gloves!
Breakfast left my wife being sick an hour after....
Generally the feel of this Premier Inn was very run down many guest were complaining. I have logged a complaint and yet to hear from their customer service.

Room tip: We were in room 55 and 56 these are noisy rooms on the first floor.

Ideal base for exploring the area & visiting several National Trust places. Hotel is easy to access from the A12 but tucked into a quiet corner with a lovely pub/restaurant next door. Plenty of parking and lovely, friendly, helpful staff.

Stayed here 1 night 2nd September 2021. Usual check in but 4pm earliest now because of Covid !! Staff friendly enough - had to ask for 2nd room keycard. Room OK with usual facilities but TV remote hardly worked - very frustrating. Most annoying though was the very very poor internet wifi. Very difficult to connect and when it did it was very weak and kept dropping out. The inn offered premium WIFI for a price of course but whether it was better I don't know. Wouldn't pay anyway out of principle. ! We were in room 74. Premier please don't advertise free WIFI when it's so poor it's next to useless. Not happy.
