Easter Sunday and our first visit, taken by a friend who lives locally. The table reservation system seemed to work well. Although people were sitting at our table, with our reservation in front of them, as soon as we appeared they got up immediatey. Sunday roast was served with buttered, creamed or vegetables with cheese but when I mentioned my dairy intolerance the chef offered alternatives that I appreciated. (However the baked cauliflower cheese looked so appetising I was really disappointed I couldn't eat it!). Portions were generous and well cooked and we all thought having individual gravy boats was a good idea. Today, most customers were half our age but we were welcomed and felt comfortable and will no doubt return ........ especially as the TV was turned off and lots of cocktails available were available!
