.We have been going to the North Shore Hotel and Golf Club for the last 26 years - we normally have a party of approximately 35 - 45 golfers ranging in Handicap from 1 - 28.
The course was designed by James Braid and features a mixture of Links and Parkland holes, it is interesting and testing and not to difficult for those who have trouble walking. The course this year was in superb condition - when we left the North East of England on Monday 19th March there was no way we were expecting to play, snow all the way to a mile outside Skegness then nothing - A Miracle - we couldn't believe the condition of the course, a lot of work has been done over the years on drainage, hence the course was dry and a pleasure to play.
The Hotel has very a very warm and welcoming feeling to it, the staff are all very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. A well stocked bar with a god variety of drinks at reasonable prices - if your party likes late nights then that's not a problem as a night porter runs the bar when the normal staff have finished thier shift. The rooms are clean and tidy with some great views of the course and the sea.
The food is outstanding, breakfast - anything you can think of you can order - it really is that good, the evening meals are superb with a wide choice of starters, mains and deserts. The food seems to improve every year - long may it continue.

All in all an exceptional venue for golfing parties of all abilities.

Room Tip: If you want good views ask the receptionist when booking - we mainly just use the rooms for sleeping!!

We stayed here for 1 night with 3 course dinner and breakfast included. The room wasn't too bad but could do with a better clean and the shower was not the best, the information booklet mentioned phoning reception for room service etc but there was no phone, but all in all the cost was great, I suppose you get what you pay for. The wifi was good. The 3 course meal was lovely and plentiful with no long waits between meals, the downside is that it was very cold in the dining room and because of the dress code (smart casual) it was a bit uncomfortable until we got used to it. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff for both meals were very helpful and efficient. The checking in and out process was easy, there is a large carpark and the hotel is next to the beach. There are also nice views over the large golf course.

What started out as a small treat for 2 mothers snowballed into 14 people, 5 mothers from 3 generations. The problem was where to go. We decided on North Shore and had a wonderful time. A nice big table with plenty of room, we were not sitting on each other, beautiful linen, glasses, china and cutlery. A limited menu, but between us we sampled most of the dishes and the unanimous conclusion was very tasty. My 90 year old mother declared her Prawn Cocktail "the best she had ever had". The staff were plentiful, attentive and polite. We will go again. Do try it.

The problem for us was having to climb the stairs as my husband finds stairs difficult.I should have mentioned this when booking but never thought. But a excellent stay. Thanks.
