Simple, calm attractive restaurant with attentive staff and a lovely Italian menu. We visited for an early evening/after work meal. There were several young families with children who were really welcomed and looked after. Having ordered the tapas (and a Bellini each!) we were then given complimentary bread and olives - delicious.
The tapas arrived - NOTHING like the usual small portions of tasty dishes but HUGE amounts of 6 different dishes. All the ones we chose were superb but we would not have chosen the bruschetta if we had realised that complimentary bread was coming our way! My favourite was the parmigiana. We managed a plate of shared pastry and with coffees the bill came to a little over £50 which we both thought was superb value. We will visit again!

This place is a real gem. While other places were busy doling out their usual lunch McMenus this place was calm, reserved and a great relaxing atmosphere with some of the best service and food in Bedford. We had a bottle of red and the 6 starter / buffet and it was lovely! Top marks to the Pantry!!

Just had a superb lunch here. Will be coming back to try some more of the Tapas. Lobster ravioli was exquisite. The good lady has just tried the ice cream as well. Lovely

We visited here for lunch after exploring the Higgins Museum – whilst it is on the same site it is open to anyone not just museum visitors. Quite an extensive menu (Italian themed) and plenty of lunchtime dishes with a few specials. There is seating inside and outside. I can recommend the ciabatta with sirloin and stilton and my wife enjoyed the lemon drizzle cake. If you are in the area, taking a walk along the river or around any of the local museums, then call in you shouldn't be disappointed. Only criticism, slightly pricier than average.

We booked a table as a large group about 3 weeks before the night out. We had a few cancellations on the day but staff were wonderful about this. They were polite from the moment we turned up and were a total delight throughout the night. Bread and olives came out as a complimentary snack and our drink orders were taken. We went straight to mains as we had heard that portion sizes were not small. They were huge! And super tasty. There was a good range of veggie options so i was a happy chappy. Only a few of the group managed dessert but even that looked amazing. The whole night was a pleasure and staff did not constantly bother you during the meal like at alot of other places. I will definatly be visiting again :)
