Took the family for a lunch (2 courses for £12 and £6.50 for the kids). Not only is it fantastic looking but the food is amazing good value and despite having a salad and a pudding (honey cake) I am absolutely stuffed as they are not mucking around with portion size or quality. Little mans burger was one of the nicest beef burgers I have had.

Coffee was lovely and the cask ale (remember to ask as the waiter only lists the lagers) was perfectly served slightly cool.

If you are looking for a little treat I can't recommend it enough.

Thank Gary D

Really enjoyed our dinner last Saturday - freindly, well run restuarant with cheerful front of house staff.

We never had an empty glass the whole night! The food was very good - didn't come across as a ship it in/reheat chain but who knows; what food we had was very tasty and that really is what counts.

The room is somewhat themed in a chain style but nonetheless, nicely done and pleasant.

It was certainly busy enough so don't think we are the only ones who rate it.

Our first visit. Beef Bourguignon for myself and pan fried Poulet printanier (tarragon pan sauce and mushrooms) for my girlfriend. The starters were ok but nothing to get too excited about. The mains however were absolutely delicious - enough to justify the five star review. I'll come again and try something less obvious, but these classic dishes were beautifully cooked and delicious.

Nicely positioned and nice looking menu, reasonably priced.
Food was excellent and found a nice local beer to go with it.
